trying to answer a question, may sound a little stupid but can a couple who have handfasted get 'divorced'?

Well depends on if it was legal or not for one thing. As far as I know it's not condoned, half of all marriages end it divorce anyway.

It's not a stupid question.

And yes people who get handfasted can be divorced. The Pagan term for the ritual is Handparting.

Doesn't condoned mean allowed or permitted?

i think it's more like "not approved of" but we'll see what others say/think.

Depends on how you did the handfasting. If it was a year and a day (or other term), it ends at the term with no further ritual. If it was open ended, "as long as we two shall love one another", or the term has not expired, I would do a handparting. If it was a legal marriage, then you have to go through all the legal divorce stuff. A handparting may be done with both people at the time of separation or at the time of the final divorce, or at any stage in between, if they are amicable about it; or one person can sever the relation ritually at any point if the split is not amicable.

I've only seen it used as in condone used the way I was using it. It might tho. And orgy technically means 4 people in a room with their shoes off.
