Hello to all--
It's been a long time since I've been here, and I'm glad to have found this place again......
Here's my thing. I'm having a really serious crisis of faith. I've been in the Wiccan path for six years now (Alexandrian Eclectic) and it seems like lately I've hit a brick wall. Every spell I do has two paths: (a) it doesn't work or (b) works well for someone else (not me). I feel abandoned by the Gods I worship and I have no one to talk to. Has anyone else felt like "taking their toys and going home"? I just drift along with no purpose.......what do I do now?

maybe it is time to go back to the beginning. What is it that set you on this path? How did you feel back then? Try to recapture that wonder.
And you say your spells aren't working... does that mean they aren't giving you your expected result or is it no result at all? And truly is the no result? most times...if we truly examine the actions...there are results, just not what we expected.
Also... are you doing spells and not working on the mundane plane to help it along? We sometimes tend to do that. We wait for magic to do it for us and forget to do what it is that we need to do ourselves.
Not saying that is the case... just asking you to truly examine what's been happening. Gods don't normally just up and go away.
You saying that when you are working for others your spells work but not for yourself makes me think that more passion is in those spells than for you. Are you taking you for granted?
Just my thoughts this morning.

Sounds to me like you need to re find the Goddess. Maybe life has been busy lately and you havent had the time to have just quality time with her? Take a walk in nature or lean against a tree to feel it breathe. These kinds of things always help me to reconnect to her. My favorite is standing under the moon in any faze and soaking up the energy she sends down. I always feel so loved and special afterwards. Hope that helped.

I'm trying to recapture the wonder, and not be so jaded.....I'm just finding that to be an uphill battle the likes of which I was completely unprepared for......
As for the spells: I did do a LOT of mundane work first. The spell was to "compliment" the mundane work. Instead of being complimentary everything went "kablooey"......NOT what I wanted in the least. :( (That's what tends to happen......the spells go the OPPOSITE of what I want, or become like an arrow launched into the Sun.......Up and straight back down :()
I don't know if I'm taking myself for granted, or just in the mire, hoping the Gods give me a "chain-pull" out........

Maybe it is time to stop doing the spells for a little bit and work on communicating with your God/Goddess/plurals and etcs. Why not take a break and think about what is really bothering you and then write it out - all your questions, comments, thoughts and worries regarding this topic and then light a candle dedicated to your Deity to honor Him/Her/etc and ask that if they will it the answers will come to you. I know that is to some a spell but if your main focal point is honoring your Deity and asking how you can better serve them and understand them its not quite the same as asking for Them to help you for yourself.
Just a thought

Right now I'm trying to shake this horrible headache/chest cold, but as soon as I can, I will get to writing......

You go here: http://subgenius.com
We don't CARE whether the Gods have abandoned us. There's too much fun to be had and, frankly, having Gods pay attention to you ALWAYS ends in tears.

Who? Perhaps you meant "Bob"?
LB,
Knows that any Bob you can actually spell isn't worth talking about.

Of course, the thing to remember is that the Church of the Subgenius is just a gag...the Conspiracy is a joke! That's right! One person doesn't die every 8 seconds from using a drug that is subsidized by the government (ha ha ha!)! The military didn't REALLY inject old Black men with syphilus so they could study terminal effects (ho ho!)! And the free market(tm) will save you from all this, anyway (Stop it! Ha ha! You're killing me!).
