I've had a heck of a weekend, starting on Thursday.
I went in to my doctor's office for my annual check-up. Meaning I already had it in mind that I was getting a Pap (which I hate), and bloodwork (again, I don't like it, I don't like needles in the slightest, but I suck it up and do it anyway). Not my idea of how to spend a morning, but whatever. At least I was getting it done.
I also went in with the intent to discuss WHY I still had pain in my right shoulder with the doctor. He manipulated the joint, and listened to me yelp, told me what I already knew, that I had a very swollen shoulder joint with limited range of motion, and that we needed to try a cortisone shot.
I said okay, not having any clue what the hell I was in for.
Oh. My. God.
A THREE INCH LONG NEEDLE, directly into my shoulder joint. And cortisone BURNS like hell, too.
Did my doctor tell me the truth about how much it would hurt? Nooooooo, of course not. He said it wouldn't hurt that much, just burn. I corrected him with the first two words I said, which were "&%$* me!". And then I proceeded to shriek, "What the hell are you DOING!?" when he had to MOVE IT AROUND.
I called him a $%^*ing liar, and told him yes it DID hurt like hell. And that next time, maybe he should just hit me with a baseball bat, it would hurt less.
So, I had my Pap after that, and my bloodwork after THAT, talk about adding insult to injury. Not a fun day.
What I DIDN'T know was how I'd feel AFTERWARDS. I had fatigue, nausea, pain, and pretty much had all that until Sunday. Brief spurts of energy, but once they've been gone, they've been GONE.
I know I'm still healing from the trauma of having a three inch long needle shoved into my shoulder, and I need to take it easy, like the doctor told me to. Not a problem....except Monday starts the school week. And I have an 11 year old I have to ferry around, and a husband who is ALWAYS at work, it seems like.
So, any spare energy for healing and recovering you could send my way would be appreciated!
Blessed Be,
LadyKaty
