Good and bad. It's extremely outdated in many respects, but it's a very good read if you're interested in how druidry's developed and such. You might find it useful, but take a lot of it with a pinch of salt. It's might be better to read more modern authors like Phillip Carr-Gom first (who I believe was Nichols' student, unless I'm getting him confused with someone else...) before you get stuck into Nichols.

On the front of the book it states that its foreworded by Phillip Carr-Gomm as well as edited by him as well, I dunno it looked like an interesting read and it only cost me $20AU to get it sent over from the states (shipping and the book!) woulve cost me $80AU here from a bookstore so I thought why not! lol :) Thanks for the advice though I usually take everything with a grain of salt I'll be more critical as I read this though thanks for the forewarning :)

It is a good read, much sutle history of the modern druid movement than what many people discover. Yes Phillip did edit it, as he was a key in getting it to print, as all of our druidic history should be preserved and presented, regardless of our agreeance on the druidic views and disagreements on practice.
With this book, also collect the other modern druid authers, as was suggested, as it allows us a broader spectrum to observe in our druid practice and beliefs.
