kinda curious

ok, I've been reading all kinds of books, and have prefered to call myself a solitary and that I'm not following any certain tradition...well, at work one night this guy wasn't happy n content with that answer I gave him...n proceeded to inform me that I had to follow a certain chosen path...why is this so and since I felt perfectly comfortable with the way things are right now, why was he getting so bent? Any info?

i wonder if he is simply regurgitating what his tradition taught him. some of the older and more established traditions state that only a witch can make a witch and all that, and don't allow for more ecclectic paths. simply tell him that there are many ways to touch the divine, and all of them are right to their adherents.

I'm with Myst on this one. The only path you have to follow is yours. Don't worry about people like him.

The guy has no right to tell you what you should be doing with your own personal path!! If and when you do choose what path to follow (or when that path chooses you!) that is not set in stone...people change and thier paths change as well Just listen to your inner spirit and you will know what is right for you. You don't have to follow any certain path, but the one you do by yourself. The one that was made when you were born till the day you die, that's the path you make.

Don't get yourself worried over him, he was just misinformed. Nothing to get all trippy about. Someday you 2 might be really good friends, so don't let one night's argument ruin something that can potentially benefit you.
