I thought this was funny and all of us parents can use a smile right??!

I was walking down the hall and my sons door was closed (he just turned 12 on 12-21) and I could hear him talking. i didn't think much about it because both his dog and his rabbit sleep in his room and we are a talk to your animal family. :)

It was getting close to dinner so I wanted to give him transition time because he was very tired and had , had a reaaaallllllly long day with his 13 yr old sister.

So i peeked my head in and he was talking to his bed. So I said who are you talking to?

Grandpa! (he died a year and a few months ago)

Oh is he here now?

YES! and he agrees with me my sister is evil.

I know for a fact your grandpa didn't come all this way and tell you your sister is evil.

No..... but I thought I could talk to him about it because when he was here he would always help me tease her and stuff. Like the time he said I could trade her doll for those baby snakes. (My son was 4 at the time) And mom I think you're in denial.

Ok sweetie you and grandpa have fun and remember dinner is in about 5 minutes. I closed the door and started to laugh because my grandpa would tell him yep she is evil and then help him work through it why maybe she is just a sister and not really all evil.

That's wonderful! Children are so open to these things. My son and my neice and nephew used to talk and play with thier grandmother after she passed. She passed almost 7 years ago. In time they stopped talking about it but I think maybe the still do "see" her. My son walks around with his grandmothers Bible to this day...She told me she wanted me to have it just a day before she died and I gave it to my son.

Hope and Laiste- how sweet of both of your kids. Just like Yvonne said in the thread I started, children are so much more open to these things. And after reading a few of these threads, I have such hope that we will be raising these kids in the best way possible!

Yes Chryssi! The best way possible...by teaching them to stay in touch with thier intuition and not suppress it as society has taught most of us to do.
