while trying to find you place, path, in life, or spiritually, did you also get frustrated? feeling as if you keep running into corners left and right, and feeling like you just don't belong anywhere?

for the last year i've been spinning in a spiral, to the point where i'm getting sick. and i keep asking where am i suppose to turn, when is my life going to turn, and i'm trying to open myself up, but it seems i just keep getting a door slammed in my face.

Yes I do. And I've seen people who've been at it a lot longer get frustrated. Its life... you clear out one layer, then work on the next. But it gets easier and faster and paradoxically slower and deeper as it goes.

In my experience, I find that I'm always exactly where I need to be at every moment. Applying that to your experience, running into corners and hitting dead ends is part of the process of finding your way. You will get to where you want to be when it's time. Until then, you will be exactly where you need to be, which seems to be bumping into corners and closed doors for now. Not finding what you want does not mean you're failing, it just means you're still looking. It'll work out. My opinion, anyway.

I think it happens. As Ember has said, it is life. It happens and it is sometimes frustrating. I think the road-blocks we encounter are not really road-blocks - they are another stage we have to go through and normally, they have lessons within them for us to learn.

the only thing I get frustrated with is when someone puts my religion down. Other than that I know who I am, what my place in this world is and where I stand within my faith :D

No kidding! Wouldn't that be nice? And, to rub salt in the wounds, they always seem so obvious afterwards?

I sympathize. I've been spinning my wheels for a while now. Nothing's blocking me exactly, but it seems like I'm just not making any progress. And that has gotten incredibly frustrating as nothing I do seems to give me any traction. I don't know if I'm just not seeing the (undoubtably obvious) solution or if there is just some piece of the puzzle missing that I haven't found yet or what. And it has gotten VERY old.

It's normal. If it didn't happen then there'd be no reason to grow. It's what drives us to find new and better things. "Spiritual disconcent" is what I've heard it called before.

The best advice I could give is to stop worrying about it. Just do what you want to do now, don't look for a deep meaningful purpose in your life because it will eventually work itself out. Just follow your instincts for now and live your life and have fun. Maybe it sounds shallow but it really isn't, not everyone, including me, has a clearly defined destiny so don't lose any sleep over it. It may take years of mistakes and lessons and running into walls before you can look back and see a larger pattern that you can then run with.

Sometimes doors slam, because they are not worth opening.

.....there are many unhealthy pagan groups out there that are a waste of time....taking your time to find the right group is deffinatly better than joinng 3 groups that suck out your energy and implode leaving you jaded. Work on your solitary practices while seeking a healthy group, because even when you are in a group, you still do solitary work.

Think of them as choices, not corners........
Also keep this in mind. The universe will not give you something you are not prepared for, but it WILL make you make maximum effort. If you think youre getting things too fast, someone up there believes you can do it. I'd take it as a compliment.

Perhaps, the only thing we can do at times like this is to go with the flow. Let go.

So should the opposite (things just not coming) be taken as a sign that you aren't able to handle anything? Joy... more late night depressive fussing material. Don't worry, I'd already thought of that one. And, except when depressed, I don't believe it.

I do think the Universe will send you whatever is needed... at a minimum.. for as long as it takes for you to figure it out. If it is easier to do so in bulk, it will. The trick is learning to figure out that not all of it is necessary just because it is availible.

Yes... and I still often do.

I think it helps you grow, and you learn from the ways in which you deal with that frustration.

Taking a break and a breather from research, study, etc often helps me... but your true path is ever-changing, so learning to cope with the frustration and stand-stills that you will face at times is important as well.
