I am learning the Wiccan religion, and I had a question. I am solitary, do I need to do a dedication ritual?

Not to be a wise guy, but do you think you need to? If the answer is yes, than most definately.
Being a solitary (as I am) presents its own set of issues and problems, but also allows you the freedome to respond to them as you personally see fit. IMO most solitarys do some type of self-dedication, although its certainly not a prerequisite. As for me personally, I am confident in the belief that my Dieties of choice are aware I am here and I'm paying attention, so I always found it unnecessary.
I am also fond of telling others that all of what we do is tied to intent, and if we INTEND to do the right thing, everything else will always work out.

Need to right now this minute or you better stop calling yourself a Wiccan??? .....No
However, I would say that it's not an unusual experience that at some point you might feel the need to dedicate.
When where and how are prety much up to you!

You do what you need to do..some do a dedication as a way to mark the beginning of their spiritual path...others dont do it because of what CM says and feels.....both are valid points....soo..ask yourself if it is something you feel you need..if you come up with yes..then do it...
Best luck and much blessings..

You don't need to do it, but it might be a nice way to mark your new faith
