O the unspeakable agony!

Extra strength Tylenol, clove oil and a shot of bourbon helps, but please send healing energy, reiki, white light, painless thoughts, or, failing that, more alcohol.

Ow ow ow ow. *whimpers*

You dont need all the other stuff. Ive found that Tylenol and aspirin dont work for a toothache. IBUPROFEN! Take 4 200mg tabs, crush dissolve them in warm water and drink up. 10 minutes tops, should be gone for awhile. Yea, its not that great for your stomach so drink some milk too, but IBU is better for bone pain. Trust me, this I know! Savw the bourbon for later when you can enjoy it!

Clove oil is good on it as well as a crushed aspirin paste to burn the nerve endings. Hope you get better! Ill send you what I got! :hahugh:

That really sucks. BTDT.
Will send energy to you.
Inthe meantime, I just found out that my new dentist offers their patiends something called care credit. I hadn't been to the dentist in 8 years and ended up with 5 cavities. I about flipped when they told me how much it would cost. But on this credit plan I get 18 months interest free. I'd call around and see if any of the dentists in your area offer this.

ok, there's a free medical clinic in ithaca, and i'm going to see if i can hook up with a low-cost dentist through that. the problem is that my wisdom teeth came in sideways, and i couldn't get them removed. of course, they got cavities because i couldn't reach them to properly brush, and the cavities eventually just ate the tooth. what i was feeling last night was the infection taking out the nerve. yes it hurts as bad as it sounds. actually it's even worse.

thanks everyone!

Ibuprofen is best for toothache I have found. Also clove oil is excellent although it tastes awfull and sends your mouth numb if you drip it anywhere else  garlic is suppost to help relieve toothache - hold a peeled clove on the spot. My bf says  that dissovable asprin is great if you swill it round your mouth, especially around the painfull area before swallowing it. He can't swallow pills, you see and had an exposed nerve a few years ago :holycow:

Sending Reiki to clear up any infection and help numb the pain. I hope you can work something out with the dentist soon. That's the same situation my daughter is in, and she got a call last week saying her appointment had to be delayed a couple of weeks. OW OWW OWWW
