HELP!
is it a made up stone?
its got a green base with blue highlights the green is kinda sap coloured then goes iridescent?
i have a ring in it and have been told not to get it wet..is it a fake?

Try looking here (http://www.metaphysical-store.com/contentpages/referencelibrary/crystalandstoneindex.htm#top)
Are you sure of the spelling? Could it be Chrysoprase?

don't know much about gems, but it might be a formed gem, sort of a chrysoprase/opal mix, or a gem that looks like a combination of the two?

no i know my stones
it isnt chrysoprase
chrysoprase is green and the colour of new leaves and this is not
my piece is chrsysopal which looks like this but has a bluer sheen:

see image properties for the source
its even used as a car colour....
weird that it is a paler green in most of the other images when mine is definately dark
suggested it is linked to olivine...
i will post a picture of my ring asap

chrysopal is an opal that contains copper; usually the blue andean opal is refered to as chrysopal
it has similar vibes to tourquoise, but can be used for elexirs.
great for communication, excellent for people working with their voice artistically
