Been a while but i used to make mead years past. Unfortunately between the ravages of time and losing all my notes when I moved a few years back I lost all of my recipes. Just wondering if anyone had some good ones. Wine would be good too.

I have a German, Belgian & Celtic (still waiting on delivery) cookbook, I can see what mead recipees they have if you like. I think the Celtic one listed some, I'll see when it arrives.

This is a website I used last summer when I started a batch of mead with some friends. They have lots of recipes:

Our first batch is not ready to drink yet, so I cannot tell you if the recipe we followed is a good one or not!
Good luck and have fun! :)

here is one we use quite often in our coven, it doesnt have to be fermented, I like it for harvests and for Samhain it is really good
1/2 gall spring water
1 1/2 c honey
1/4 c lemon juice
1/8 teas nutmeg
1/8 teas allspice
1/2 c everclear
heat all but alcohol stir as honey melts do not allow it to come to a rolling boil when it is blended remove from heat stirring occasionly until it settles add alcohol when it cools serve it,
some of my members like it warm even
