 Man...kids really do say the darndest things. Driving home from daycare, Tyke (he'll be 3 in June) was quiet. Which any parent of a toddler knows, is not a good thing! We had the following conversation:
Me (teasing voice): Tyke? What are you doing?
Tyke: Pickin my nose.
Me (laughing): Yucky! Don't pick your nose!
Tyke: Not yucky, yummy. (proceeds to lick finger) See? Yummy. Mmmmm.
Me (stern voice time): Tyke! No! That's yucky!
Tyke: Nose not yucky, you yucky!
 Thank goodness it was just us in the car.

that is cute...I think the cutest thing my son ever did, he's 5 now, but about a year ago when Jacob and I were dating, he was over and we put them to bed, he of couse kept wanting to get up, kept putting him to be and telling him to go to sleep.
A few mintues past and Jacob said, not loudly, "issac, are you asleep yet?" Isaac called back "yes, i am" :hehehehe:

OMGs! I am so glad my kids, if they did eat their snot, were kind enough to keep that information to themselves. I cant imagine accepting slobbery kisses if I knew for sure they had been.

2 weeks ago we went shopping at walmart.. Hannah didnt want to leave the icecream isle till she got the icecream SHE wanted.. my mother in law was pushing the cart, and told her that we got the icecream. Hannah preceeded to grab the carts leg and mom dragged her down the isle lol.. she stopped the cart and hannah grabbed both sides with both her hands.. Everyone in the isle thought it was hilarious and then she stood up, and said "Hey!, I've got Wal-mart dirt on me! lol
She also loves the cartoon the kids next door and calls us all by numbers.. mom was in the hospital on thanksgiving, after having an attack, and as we leave in the car hannah is crying in the back seat " Number 4!!!" (moms number) lmao Even the Dog has his own number haha

That was rude!
That is too funny. I wonder why they feel the need to do that in the car. I have caught my 3 year old picking her nose in the car too. When she asked why she shouldnt pick her nose I told her there were germs in there and of course she didnt get it so I told her there were little bugs smaller than her eyes could see and she was eating bugs lmao That kicked that bad habit very quick.

Hannahs never really been afraid of worms..YET. Although she and another girl from down the street we playing and said they saw a snake in a hole "baby snake" and they ran back yelling "snake"!. I 'm wondering if maybe the other girl was pretending, but i told hannah not to go near the woods.. now all she says now is the baby snakes going to get her..
when I was her age,i was afraid of leaves, lol . The wind would blow them around my feet and i'd scream. I also didnt like worms, but a year later I was picking them up..

Can I whine and complain?? I feel I have a right on a fairly regularly basis to bitch and complain to Victorias father about my lack of child support. I kinda see this as my right since well he has chosen to live in Illinois and we are still in California and I havent gotten anything from him and his daughter wants her daddy. So Im on the phone (she was in the shower so she couldnt hear) and I was bitching to him, and he says if all I want is money from him (not like he can give anything else at this point) then she is no longer his daughter. And hung up on me. :gagged: I just sat there stunned. Im sure you all are sick of me bitching about him being a dead beat but this goes beyond anything I can comprehend.. Why on earth would someone ever say that??? It just broke my heart since she wants him so bad and he can be so cold hearted as that. Besides castration or well something illegal I would love some suggestions on how to react to this. Im kinda torn between smacking the shit out of him and begging him to be my babies daddy. I just dont get if he is pissed off at me why he would take it out on her. Im lost and confused.

Im so sorry visha that he's being that way. Did you tell him that she crys for him and misses him, that you want him in your daughters life? Maybe the two of you can try and be civil to towards each other for her sake..or does he want you to want him also? I hope he comes around and will be there for victoria.. (BIG HUGS) to you!

I did not mean to hijack the thread. I totally thought when I made that post that it was on a totally new thread. That is way to weird. Im so sorry. I did not mean to rant in the fun thread. But Victoria did say a funny thing this morning (coulda sworn I posted that in this thread). We were grocery shopping and looking for weight watchers bread. I was just going up and down the isles trying to push the buggy and juggle my un weight watchers coffee and she pops off with, thats corn oil. It was the expensive stuff that just said the name w/o a picture. I was like woooaaaaa. I couldnt believe it.

Visha'sMommy, I understand.
My ex-husband has not paid child support in nearly six years, and has not bothered to have any kind of contact with my daughter in nearly five years.
We are also in California, and he is back East. It's like we're out of sight, out of mind.
Thankfully, my husband stepped up to the plate, and has been her dad since we got married, when she was four years old.
Our, and by our I mean mine and DH's daughter, is now a happy, healthy 11 year old.
Just wanted to let you know that this, too, shall pass. Do what needs to be done, but if he doesn't want to be part of her life, he won't be. You can't make him step up to the plate and be an actual father if he doesn't want to be bothered. And believe you me, unless you step up to the challenge, and do what has to be done concerning child support, he won't be bothered to pay it. He doesn't feel that he should HAVE to, from what you've said here.
My PM box is always open, if you need a been there, done that shoulder.
(((((Visha'sMommy and Victoria))))))
We've been there. And I'd like to be able to pass on the positive energy I got when I was going through the worst of it to someone who needs it, and it sounds like you need it, as does my friend here.

If you arent afraid of snakes yourself, take her to a pet chop and show her how you pet and even hold the sankes. If you do fear them, have someone else do it so thaat she will see there is nothing to fear. Too bad you dont live next door, we have a cute little ring neck that isnt intimidating at all.

Pet SHOP, pet SHOP! Dear lord. The images. :blushake:
I have a sweet little Ball Python that would be more afraid of her than she was of him. (By afraid, I mean trying to hide, not striking, of course. Rhys is a sweety pie.)

My daughter calls all worms, Sherman the Worman. And if we see one on the ground after a rain I have to pick it up and hand it to her so she can put it in the grass and be happy and safe. :( I dont see why if she is taing the credit I have to touch the dog gone thing lmao
Talk about saying the drndest things today we went through the Carls Jr. drive through and I askef her what she wanted to drink. Im a huge starbucks addict and this confermed it when she said a Soy Mocha. Like no biggie if Mommy gets it thats what I want too. :T Ha I about cried from laughing so hard. A soy Mocha :T

I am afraid of snakes.. Although I did hold a python once.. I know that most snakes are harmless and will hide..I dont know what kind of snakes are in indiana.if we have any rattlers ,etc.. Thats what i worry about the most. I told her that snakes are more afraid of her because she's bigger than them. She said they wont be afraid, because she'll sing to them, and they'll be happy! lol I'm just afraid that there are rattlers in this area (which used to be farm land),and will get bit.. maybe im just paranoid.. I didnt have a fear of snakes until age 5,when my brother let me watch a movie called hard ticket to hawaii or 2 tickets to hawaii(cant remember). I've tried finding the movie, but havent had any luck.. it was a huge python or anaconda that came up through a womans toilet and tried to eat her..I do remember the husband coming in and blowing it's head off though! lol
