Does ne one else here have Kiddies in Pre-school? I would like advice on some problems I'm having and generally want to verify a few things.

I do.
I have a three yo in Preschool, and my son is in Kdg- and we ran the gamut of preschool issues with him, I think. :)
I also was a PreK Teacher for a long time. Maybe I can help?

ooo tx
It's more about the cook than it is the actual teachers.
To my understanding they are supposed to not only wea gloves and hair nets while preparing the food but while their serving it also. Is that correct?

NO she doesn't. and while I've known the woman for a while (my neices also went to the same pre-school) I just don't think that I want my child eating hair. I've spoken to her about it and she seems to think it doesn't apply to her bc she keeps her hair pulled back and is constantly washing her hands.

We didn't do a lot of food prep in these schools. What you can do is ask the director for a copy of the State Policy to read. In NJ there has to be one available with the director for you to see at all times. Hopefully this issue will be covered in there. If not, maybe a call to your Dept of Health? If you can find out from the state she needs to wear one, you can then approach the director with proof.
Good luck- I have long hair and I'd wear a net if I were a cook.
