There is no other way to put it. I have had a co-worker talking to me about being a born again christian so I got to thinking :jawdrop:
Does it work the same for me?? So I took a few moments out of my day to speak with my lord and lady to see what the deal was. I feel a complete high right now.
I felt something take over last night. I was being really really lazy at work and I jut felt it like someone saying to me "Move over I'm driving!!" and I became this different person! When I had a second to see my own reflection I even looked different, so firce and serious and I'm rarely ever like that.
I had to share this with everyone.

Alot of people feel that way when they come to Paganism. Ive heard others describe it as a sense of "comming home" or familiarity.
Its great that youve found a path that makes you happy :)

I think the "Born Again" Christian thing is nothing more than a term applied to a new "eternal" life they have received when accepting Jesus as their saviour. Nothing more. I wouldn't associate the term with Paganism because
1.) It will confuse people. 2.) Might cause unneeded confronation. and 3.) It doesn't really associate well to some Pagan thought, which would mean you really *aren't* born again, but have been the way you are, and perhaps the only thing that has changed is your perspective.
But it is great that you feel so passionate about your faith.

I've seen a bumper sticker that says, "Born Again and Again and Again..." referring of course to the idea of reincarnation.
But really for a Pagan it's more like uncovering or discovering our inner divine spirit; it's that moment in time when we realize that we have a connection with something that is greater than our own self, a connection with everything in the universe, a connection with our own possibilities.

I would disagree with that Lunacie. Personally I would see Paganism is just a comfort path...a way that allows us to express whats inside in a manner that fits our personality. I dont see any difference between a pagan experiance and a Christian one...a true Christian (and ive met them) is more into living God thropugh their lives in a manner thats comfortable...just as we live God through our lives through Paganism. A born again Christian though is soemone who has, well atleats hjow it's suppose to be, is soemone who has taken a greater interest in Christinaity and lives their experiance rather than labelling themselves a Christianian but not practicing. i think that is half of the problem though becasue when focusses so much on their own experiance of God, they tend to forget or ignore other experiances as being valid.
I think however, and this is where I disagree with you Lunacie...there is no greater mystery or uncovering of whats inside for a Pagan than any other religion. Its how you approach youre faith, and how that faith is used and also transforms you. There are dangers with this but also great rewards... Born again pagan though I think is just a little mock against Born Again Christians....its witty I'll give you that hehe....I think i've seen the same bumper sticker soemwhere 8O .

I'm not really sure how you feel we disagree. The main difference I see between Paganism and non-Pagan religions is that Pagans tend to believe that we ourselves are created from divine energy and thus are divine ourselves, rather than that we are created by the divine and it is something apart from us.

You sure it wasn't a case of possession, rather then being born again?
I don't know about anyone else, but i sure would have a problem with a deity
taking command of my body without my sayso.
I became a born-again erisian when i wrote to the church I was baptized a christian and told them that I am rescinding my baptism.I even sent them a vial of holy water to replace the water they used to baptize me.I was re-baptized into the Spirit of Eris in very joyful and silly Erisian Re-baptism ceramony conducted By my High Priestess/Loving Wife, witnessed by al my good friends, and involving copious amounts of beer and ganja.
Amber Wynd is my GoddessMomma.
When I was re-baptized,for one brief second,I totally got the JOKE.

Oh I do agree with you...but not entirely as in some ways all religions have a part that states that becasue we came from God we must be part of God. Mystics, Kabbalists, Sufis...all parts of the Abrahamic traditions and yet they all seek to find that inner Divine soul. Same with Hinduism and Buddhism...all of these are non pagan traditions.
