The fact that I can watch tv and veg and not have to think for awhile. Sometimes that's what you need.
It's a good thing to have on in the background while you paint.
Even without cable, it's a good break from homework.
It provides entertainment and controversy all at the same time.

3. It takes my mind off of stuff.

Ok, I have one for ya!! We recently discovered a channel called VH1CR...they play all old videos from the eighties and so on. It is just too fun to make fun of all the idols from my mis-spent youth.

To quote Dravin.." They name the band Queen, he dresses in drag and they were still surprised to learn he was gay?!?!?!?!"
