WolfWoman
January 15th, 2002, 02:35 PM
Always had a 'connection' to anything canine. Did passed life regression work several times and there was always a dog that looked very much like a wolf by my side. I realized that wolves are my familiars and now I have a large 80lb dog that is actually part wolf but fortunately for him and me animal control doesn't know it and he doesn't really look like it in the face and coloring - his body tho, well that's another matter and the temperament astonishes some of my friends - just like a wolfboy... sniff...
You didn't post why you picked YOURS...

Chibi-Fallon
January 15th, 2002, 07:59 PM
There was a girl in some 80's cartoon (who strangely enought was assocated with the moon) who I always liked and her name was Fallon (I believe it means leader) and that's where Fallon came from and Chibi is Japanese for little or short. It was the only name that I used that really ever fit me.

Phoenix
January 16th, 2002, 09:15 AM
Well the full name that I like to use is Phoenix Dragonhart. Oddly the last name came first. When I was just starting to read about the craft I was at work and the word just kept flashing across my mind. I tried to ignore it and then I had a dream that night about a beautiful dragon with a jeweled heart. The name stuck. Some time later when I decided that Wicca was right for me I glanced up at my (rather extensive) book collection and one word cropped up quite often, Phoenix. I realized that It was the perfect word for someone shedding part of their life and taking on a new one, a mystical bird who dies a firey death only to rise again anew. I use my real name for most things but when it comes to the magical part of life I become Phoenix Dragonhart instead.
FelixFire
January 17th, 2002, 05:07 PM
The "Fire" part of my screen name comes from a recent development in my spirituality, a strange and persistant fascination with the Phoenix. Originally I was aiming for the screen name "PhoenixFire" but I saw the name "Phoenix" was already used and didn't want to annoy anyone. :)
The "Felix" part I substituted for three reasons - one, it sounds similar to Phoenix so it feels like a fiery name to me and it seems to flow right with "Fire". Second is that I always have had some sort of cat reference in my screen name (I'm known as CupricCat and MoonCat elsewhere) so it works for continuity's sake. I don't know what I'd do without my cat persona anyway. :) (I'm a big orange tabby like Morris, in case anybody wonders...) Third reason is that the name "Phoenix" was also already taken when I was creating my retarded little website, so I call myself FelixFire, or Felix Of Fire, or Felix Loves Fire, and other variations there too, so it was easy to remember.
None of these names, BTW are a craft name of any kind.

The cd Fairy of the woods is one of my favorite, and on the cd, one of the songs, dreamspell is on there. It is a really good song, good for meditation and relieving stress. Plus i'm always dreaming. So I thought it would be the right name for me. :)

Flar's Freyja
January 17th, 2002, 07:56 PM
Freyja has been courting me for a long time through moonstone and malachite. She is a patron of cats, and I have rescued many. She is a goddess of love and transformation, a mistress of magick. The Norse gods learned magick from her. She is a strong, independent goddess. Life events forced me to be a strong, independent woman and mother. I chose her name when I found out that she is also a patron of abused women and children. I have been both and now work with them, so she helps and guides me - and makes sure that perpetrators get what they deserve.
