Beautiful beautiful quartz!!

I was wondering if any of you stone/crystal experts could answer a question for me:
I am aware that quartz comes in many different varieties and colors, but I wondered what colors?
I would LOVE to pick up a bright lime green piece. I feel that it would really pull my altar together and would be great to raise energy.
Any info? All imput greatly appreciated.

Aventurine is also a form of quartz.

If you are looking for green quartz crystals look for hedenbergite included quartz. Its fairly rare to come by as it is found in only a few localities around the world. Most comes from Seriphos, an island off the coast of Greece.

aventurine (quartz with mica-fuchsite)
fuchsite obviously
chloride quartz
green chalcedony
chrysoprase.

maybe lemmon-crysoprase would be your stone, as it IS lime green
