new crystals

ok what i got today was a rose quarts pendant and a black onyx stone what i was wondering is how to use them and what their properties are. I was also wondering what other stones are worth having.
i should have said what should i use them for and is there a particular way to cleanse a crystaL?

I could post you some stuff, but I would be redunant as in this marvellous place we have alot of info and places to go get info on your stones sweety. You have one of my favs which is rose quartz, I cal it the LOve Crystal. Welcome in to the Crystals and Stones forum. Or as I like to call it the Treasures Cave. I tell you this because I would love see you and others really come in a read on the stones and play the games and be invovled. But I am just a fan and lover of all things mineral. :hugz:

Quick way to clean a crystal is to give it a mild salt water bath and then sunshine and moonlight for 12 hours each. :hugz:

the black onyx stone: could be many different stones.

either it is natural onyx or at least black dyed agate:

for that try scratching it with a knife (on a place where a scratch wouldnt hurt) if you cant scratch it, it should be a stone of hradness 7, which would very probably be dyed agate or natural onyx

if the scratch remains, it can be either black obsidian or black stone onyx. obsidian is a natural volcanic glass, while black stone "onyx" is usually dyed and pressed together other stone.

or: it is travertine/black marble/aragonit from mexico, which too is sold as onyx stone, and in black as onyx stone or black onyx stone.
it too is scratchable with a knife.

depending on what the stone is, is also its prosperities

rose quartz is a comfort stone.It sometimes feels warm and fuzzy in a metaphysical way.

thankyou and yesterday when i bought the rose quarts it was a pale pink and i wasn't feeling happy and when i got home it had turned almost white is this a natural thing for it to do i'm feeling happier today and it has regained its colour is this quarts connected to my feelings?

yeah this is normal. Also i would suggest to cleanse it in the sun with water and if you have it sea salt.
