Neither. I don't trust dieties, regardless of gender.

Little Billy,
Knows the hideous truth about dieties.

I wouldn't say one over the other. I try to stay balanced and attuned to both.

I'm drawn more to female dieties. I'm not sure if thats because I'm female myself, or if because I've been raised to believe in a male diety so I'm instinctually rebelling, or both, but I'm just more drawn towards the female aspect of diety.

Same!

Although whenever I do formal rituals and Sabbat celebrations, I include both the God and Goddess. :boing:

I don't feel "atuned" to anyone.

When I first became aware of Wiccan expression and concepts I was strongly drawn to the Goddess because it was so right that there be an expression of the divine feminine. Then I took a year's journey with the God, discovering new meaning to honouring the divine masculine. Now I feel very much at home with either god or goddess expression. I like to think in polarities rather then in adversarial duelism. Without darkness there would be no light. Without light there would be no darkness. To say that two things are poleric suggests an integration, not an opposition or a confrontation. Gods and Goddesses form a diverse pallett, Choice is a good thing.

Through the many years that I've been interested in mythology, it's been the goddess stories that interested me most. I'm not sure if it's because we share a gender or what. I do enjoy reading up on the male gods, and there are some good stories in there.

As far as my personal worship...I don't give much thought to gender, as I don't believe specific male and female dieties exist. I do petition to feminine aspects of Diety more often than male, though, an "Artemis aspect" being my favorite. Now there's a strong female figure, an ideal measuring stick and goal for me during this tough time...

quite a thought provoking poll, but I cannot chose.
ny two 'patrons' are Thor and Athena and of course the Great Lord and Lady, I worship both with spiritual abandon!

I usually call my deity Mother, and interact with her more as a Goddess, but I don't see Her as being strictly feminine. I was a cradle Catholic, but even as a little girl I felt like I should be calling God Mother instead of Father. Go figure. To me, deity is beyond all gender, all labels - I only go with the feminie because that is the only way I can interact. There's no graceful way of calling something 'it' in the English language (or in most languages for that matter). It just comes out seeming impolite.

So I call my deity Mother, but don't really see a gender. (Yes, I'm a bizarre Pagan, I'm monotheistic ;) )

I connect with both equally. However, in certain circumstances I may call to one and not the other.
