Numerology - Lesson II

Hi Folks, Here we go with Numerology II. I hope you managed to find your way here from the thread "Numerology Anyone?" containing lesson 1.

In lesson one, we found out a little of the history and background to Numerology. We also found out how to find our *Life Path Number* by 'reducing' our birth date down to a single number. These numbers (1 to 9 inclusive) are known as *Fadic Numbers*.

Before I go on with the meanings, there are a couple of points to bear in mind:-

*There are no such things as "good" or "bad" numbers. They all have positive and negative traits.

* These traits are with you from birth, but experience, knowledge etc can 'dilute' or 'enhance' them.

*I am only going to give you the key words to each number. Whole books could be written about each Fadic Number, and a lifetime spent studying them, and we don't want to get too bogged down yet!!

So here we go with the Key Words, and you can then have fun finding out all your family and friends *Life Path Numbers*, and seeing how applicable they are!

ONES

Positive: Independent, Active, Original, Ambitious, Courageous.
Negative: Stubborn,Lazy,Selfish Dictatorial

*Ones are known as The Leaders

TWOS

Positive: Co-operative, Peaceful, Gentle, Reserved, Analytical
Negative: Introverted, Moody, Sentimental, Over-sensitive, pessimistic

*Twos are known as The Co-operators

THREES

Positive: Artistic, Self-expressive, effervescent, optimistic, Happy, imaginative
Negative: extravagant, vain, nomadic

*Threes are known as The Entertainers

FOURS

Positive: trustworthy, practical, dignified, tenacious
Negative:dogmatic, narrow-minded,repressive

*Fours are known as The Builders

FIVES

Positive: versatile, adventurous, sensous, progressive,happy
Negative: self-indulgent, aggressive, irresponsible, inconsistent

*Fives are known as The Communicators

SIXES

Positive: responsible, conscientious, humane, loving, unselfish, tolerant
Negative: nervous, cautious, jealous, narow-minded, pessimistic, interfering

*Sixes are known as The Teachers

SEVENS

Positive:analytical, reserved,dignified, peaceful, trustworthy, affectionate
Negative: sarcastic, pessimistic, lackadaisical,inconsiderate,quarrelsome,secretive

*Sevens are known as The Individualists

EIGHTS

Positive: powerful, successful, independent, confident, active, forceful, creative
Negative:dictatorial,thoughtless,interfering,materialistic, intolerant

*Eights are known as The Goal Setters

NINES

Positive: compassionate,generous,humanitarian,sympathetic,philosophical,trustworthy,idealistic,sensitive,benev olent,artistic
Negative: impatient,dictatorial,insincere,inconsiderate,over emotional,indiscreet,impulsive

*Nines are known as The Humanitarians.


In reality, we are generally a mixture of the positive and negative traits, but we have now identified the equivalent of our Sun Sign, in Numerology. However, as individuals, we are sooo much more, and in the next lesson, we'll begin to find out about composing our *Natal Chart*.

So have fun, finding out about yourself and those around you, and give me some feed back as to how you feel the numbers apply to you (or not :bigredgri )as the case may be!!! Enjoy

Well the positive characteristic of 2 are pretty well right on the money. As to the negative ones being right on the money also, except I must have evolved because I am for the most part not an introvert.

what about master numbers eg mine came up with a 33.
ive also heard of 11, 22, 44 ect,
what significance do they hold?:)

Everything hits the nail except Dogmatic.

My husband is a SEVENS

Positive:analytical, reserved,dignified, peaceful, trustworthy, affectionate
Negative: sarcastic, pessimistic, lackadaisical,inconsiderate,quarrelsome,secretive

*Sevens are known as The Individualists

He is not analytical, reserved,dignified or inconsiderate,quarrelsome,secretive so this was about 50/50

My daughter is TWOS

Positive: Co-operative, Peaceful, Gentle, Reserved, Analytical
Negative: Introverted, Moody, Sentimental, Over-sensitive, pessimistic

*Twos are known as The Co-operators


She is 8 and this is so right its not funny.

My son is EIGHTS

He is 10 mos and independent, confident he is not and I coulldn't tell in some of the others. He is powerful, active, forceful,dictatorial,interfering..

Hi Mythril, replied to this under thread 'Numerology Anyone?', but just to repeat, Master Numbers are a separate concept which come under Advanced Numerology, and were not in the original Pythagoran Method. I feel it will only confuse the issue if dealt with now, but we'll deal with Master Numbers at a later date, for those interested. At present, we're going over the foundations, and concentrating on the Fadic Numbers. Hope that answers your query. :)

Good to get some feed back, and it's interesting to note that so far there's been some connection. Of course you have to remember that your *Life Path Number* is the broad overview, just like your sun sign. As we gradually compile a *Natal Chart*, more indepth insight should appear.

By the way, I hope you know that now I have all your *Life Path Numbers* (except Amoras!), I am busy finding out everything about you all ;) As no one knows mine (He He ) I have the upper hand - next stop the world :bigredgri

Will not be able to join the Community much this weekend, as I have the "pleasure" of entertaining my two young grandsons, but expect to see Lesson III coming up next week. Meanwhile, anymore comments and feedback are welcome, and keep working out those numbers for all and everyone!! :bigredgri

Just as an after thought, how about hazarding some guesses as to what my *Life Path Number* is. I will let you have a hint, "my number can be found in the infinite justice of autumn, when the strong winds blow!!!"

Well! I know your birth day, but not the date. I know you are secretive....that would represent...what number was that??....7. But then you referred to justice, and I'm a tarot minded person. The number of that card is the master number 11 which boils down to 2. I also know that you are creative/artistic because of your interests in crafts, that could lead me to believe you are a 3, 8 or 9. Then again, I also know that you teach/counsel, so that would indicate a 6. I also know you have interests in psychology, so you could be 2, 7 or 9. So in other words....I have no clue!! Not that I got the analytical part of me expressed, my guess is still 11/2. Am I close??? :D

I'm a seven, and this pretty much sounds like me, except I'm not sure how peaceful and dignified I am... :D
Oh, and while quite sarcastic, I'm not inconsiderate. But all in all, a pretty good description of me!

Hi Mystique, Not sure how you can be a combination of One & Two, is that your interpretation, or what actually came out as your *Life Path Number*?

Don't forget that both the positive and negative aspects for each number are the extremes. Most of us are somewhere in the middle. Also, when we get onto the *Natal Chart*, these attributes will be altered and modified.

Well done for trying Dagda Moon~Lily, you are on the right track, but way off beam. Your guess about the Tarot connection when it refers to the Justice card, is really getting warmer. However, I would pose a question, is the Justice card always the same number???
You really don't have to know me to work this out, otherwise it wouldn't be fair. All the clues are in the quote!!!! LOL

Brilliant, I knew you'd get it. :bigredgri As I said, the clues were all there: My number can be found in the infinite (as you so rightly say the number of infinity is 8), justice (the Justice card is number 8 in some packs of Tarot) of autumn (October was originally the 8th month hence Oct meaning 8), when the strong (the 'other' number 8 card in the Tarot is Strength) winds blow. Well done, now you can begin to work out what sort of character I am!!

By the way, will be posting Numerology III shortly, so you can really start to get to grips with things!!
