Rune #2 Uruz

This past summer, I saw this rune in a vision. I was not working with the runes at the time and the vision has led me in this direction. I know that Uruz is healing, strength, will and determination. Would like some input as to interpretation and help on how I should be using it.

Have you looked in the 'All About Runes' thread? Some good insights into Uruz there...

The root word of Uruz is 'ur'- German for 'primal' or 'ancient'... might even be interpreted as 'first'. Uruz is about energy... raw, uncontrolled, elemental. Think Big Bang type energy. I think that vision was your personal Big Bang, your primal beginning, so to speak, with the Runes.

Thanks, you know I'm new here and wasn't sure where to look so you've saved me some time. I'll check that thread. It really was a "Big Bang" since I very clearly saw the rune, knew it was a rune, but didn't even know which one it was at the time and had to look it up! My life has continued to change rapidly since that time. I even found a charm that I've been wearing at the psychic fair a few months ago. Thanks again.

Thanks, Cat Girl. I looked at the thread that Rick suggested and found it to be helpful. The class I am taking here starts Monday and the person who got it together is very seriously involved and knowledgeable. I'll be glad to share any important wisdom that I may gain.

And another early riser! Not long after Uruz appeared to me, I quit a good job with the state and started freelancing. Uruz supports new beginnings and ventures. Work's been a little slow lately and it's a lil scary. I have a part-time job, actually filling in for my son while he's in Air Force training, three days a week hostessing in a restaurant. It pays the rent and it's kind of fun, but it's already getting old. Several friends have done readings for me and all say that this venture will turn out to be what I want it to be. Today I will work 7 hours at the restaurant and then make more in 2 hours in my professional job than I will make all day there. I'm focusing on how I can really use this rune to help me do what I have to do to make this happen. I have worked hard for many years, even to the point of almost ruining my health. I have developed excellent skills and they need to be put to use for the greater good.

My goal is to be purring quite loudly in six months' time!

Sounds as though you have been very busy and been thinking and working really hard! I hope it all works out for you very soon and you can make your dream a reality! Maybe try and make a rune charm with Uruz to wear or mediatate with. The New Moon in the sky at the moment would be a brilliant time to really put your hopes and dreams into action! :D

Last night my wee' one was vomiting (im figuring it was something she ate). So around 10pm I decided to look in my Rune reference book (Futhark by Edward T.) to see what Rune could help her. I painted a lil' Uruz on her tummy and she threw up once more and that was it! WOO HOO!
