tarot q's???

i currently have the alchemical tarot and was wondering if i could use the same book for meanings with a different deck (romani) the decks are so expensive and i was hoping to find just the cards if i didn't need the book that comes with it. thanx a buch

If you want to just purchase the decks and not the cards, I would recommend getting a "generic" Tarot book with traditional meanings. A good example would be P. Scott Hollander's "Tarot for Beginners : An Easy Guide to Understanding & Interpreting the Tarot" The book describes the cards, and gives you upright and reversed traditional meanings.

Sometimes though, I think you can better understand the deck if you know why the author put certain symbolizms in the cards....if they stray from Rider/Waite's or look alike decks.

I dont have those decks so I cant really say if they would tie in with each other.

I agree with Dagda ~ buying a overall Tarot book would be your best bet, or just looking up the meaning here on MW, we have been trouigh all the cards and you will really enjoy the lessons or look on the net by doing a search for the card you cant really see much into to.

Again, Ill say ~ trust yourself and what you see in the cards ~ thats where real progress is made and what no book can help you with.
