I was just sitting at my computer when I heard a noise...kinda like an extremely large bee buzzing in my ear...but this was no bee...it was very loud...it actually hurt my ear(it still hurts and this happened over 5 minutes ago). At the same time I felt a strong shock go through by body and my pulse started to race (the pulse can be explained by my nervousness). My body aches a little bit too. The noise went away almost as fast as it came.
Now I have this strong feeling like something is terribly wrong. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before so I am not sure what to think...if I should be thinking anything of it at all.
Opinions?

You body/mind subconsciously may know something that your conscious mind doesn't? I'd just try to be more "aware" in the coming days/weeks. Maybe do a tarot reading or meditate with a candle to see if you can come up with something? Sorry I can't be more help.

Margie, Yeah as soon as my son is fast alseep I am going to meditate and then do a reading and see what I come up with. I have an idea of what it might be...but I will read the cards first and see. I will post more later.
Xander, STOP! Your freakin' me out! My heart is still pounding and I am literally shaking...this is weirding me out!!
*runs off to meditate*

I wish that I could be of more help too. I had something similar happen a while ago. For days, I was extremely paranoid about my driving, I had this horrible feeling that a wreck was coming. Every day the feeling intensified, to the point where I actually heard smashing metal, etc. Very soon after that, not only did my son's girlfriend's mother get into a bad wreck - but I happened to be driving right by immediately after it happened. I thought that the feeling was meant for me. I was very upset that it didn't occur to me that it could be someone else, and I still have no idea how I could have been able to figure it out.

ok well I meditated for a few then I did a reading. I think I may know what this is about now. My cousin died two years ago and his wife is in, ummm, let's say, trouble at the moment. She called me up and confided in me about her situation. I supported her as best I could and told her that the decision was hers to make. I think my cuz is trying to get my attention! He has contacted me before...but usually in "dreams". Thing that bugs me is I've never been scared before when contacted by him. Perhaps he is not too happy about the situation and is letting me know? I hope the other feeling I am getting, regarding this situation, is wrong...I don't want to say what that feeling is so I won't.

Sounds like you may have answered your own question. I hope things turn out well for the family.

I don't know whether or not my experience with something similar may enlighten you, or not. But...a few years back I was dating this guy. He and his roommate were both Pagan. The first time I spent the night at their house, I went to bed, and could not sleep, as it was an unfamiliar surrounding. All of a sudden, as my boyfriend of the time was snoring soundly beside me, I had a very powerful buzzing noise in my ears..both of them. And I felt paralyzed. This had never happened before. And I don't have a history of epilepsy, or anything like that, and besides, I wasn't exactly having a fit, or moving around or anything. I was actually, quite paralyzed, and felt as if something were sitting on me. I remember struggling to scream..or to even say anything. But..I couldn't. My pulse was racing madly, and the buzzing noise was soooo loud in my ears. And I couldn't make a noise, and could NOT move. I remember trying to resist whatever was happening, and trying to say.."NO"...but I'm pretty sure that if I made a noise at all..it came out as nothing more than a grunt.
I told my boyfriend the next morning, because I had a feeling that it was something paranormal, or supernatural. I even asked him if perhaps his roommate had done something, magickally, to me, if she somehow disliked me....and he was shocked, but said.."No".
It wasn't until months later, that I finally became close enough with his roommate to bring it up to her. I actually had to take that long to work up the courage to ask her, if she had disliked me at the beginning of my relationship with Ron, or if she mistrusted me in any way at that point.
When I began to describe the sensation, her jaw almost dropped to the table. She said.."My Goddess...you really ARE an empath, aren't you?". I immediately got shivers up and down my spine, and asked what she meant.
She told me that when she first moved into their house, she asked the landlord (who just happens to be a very noted Pagan himself), about the history of the building. He told her that back in the Seventies, there had been a violent rape and murder in that house...IN the room, which was my boyfriends, at that time. The landlord told her that he had done a formal cleansing in that room, but it had merely been storage when he lived there, anyway. And my friend, said that she had done numerous cleansings in that room, before Ron moved in, as well. And yet, many people got a bad feeling in that room, of being watched, and some people (especially males), even had trouble entering the room. Obviosly, my boyfriend was not one of them, and never had a problem in that room (probably because of his two huge dogs who usually slept on the bed at night). As soon as I told her, she had Ron move his stuff into the living room for a while, while she did a three day cleansing ritual in it.
Both of them, have since moved out of that house, and she tells me that after her three day cleansing ritual, no other odd occurrances had been reported.
However..my whole point in this, is that I don't ignore that racing pulse, ringing ears thing. At ALL. If I were ever to experience it again..I would believe with my entire being, that some psychic phenomena were happening.
My friend, my exboyfriends roommate, thinks that what I probably experienced, was a psychic attack.

Danustouch, the experience that you described seems to describe an Old Hag experience. Have you ever heard of that? I know that most people aren't but there is a very common folk tradition centred around the experience here in Newfoundland. In fact in populations everywhere and anywhere 20% of the people will report the similar experience even though they have never known anyone else who has and they have never heard of it. It is customarily characterized by a feeling of being paralized and that of weight on top of you along with a number of secondary characteristics. I, myself have experienced the old hag a number of times (subsequently I have given up sleeping on my back which seems to provoke it.) . If you would like to ask me any further questions on it i would be happy to help. It seems that the universe is always trying to communicate something, we just have to listen.

Don't fret just close yours eyes and make a few phone calls. It could be someone close to you but before you panic just relax and focus and the answer will come.

Thank you Phoenix. Yes..as a matter of fact, I have heard of the "Old Hag" sleep phenomena. The only reason I don't consider my experience to be an "Old Hag"...is that upon reading up on the topic, I discovered that in Old Hag phenomena, there are often hallucinations involved, either audio, scent, or visual. I had no visual hallucination...did not have a feeling of being watched (though others had reported feelings of being watched in that room, and I did feel that sensation at other points when I stayed there, moving around the house), and the only sound I heard was a buzzing in my ears. Most people who report audio hallucinations with Old Hag, report hearing whispers, or footsteps, or creakings. Which is explained by the state of sleep one is in (as in interrupted REM). Also...people who experience Old Hag, are often report that it happened DURING sleep, or just before one fell asleep. This does not fit my case, as I was quite restless that night, and had not been able to even get drowsy. I had just gotten up from bed, to get a glass of water, and turned off my reading lamp....laid down (on my side, I might add), and then restlessly flipped over onto my back, when this occurred.
I'm not saying it wasn't possible that it was the Old Hag sleep syndrome, however, being that the report of the rape and murder in that room had been widely circulated in the seventies, and the fact that others had experienced odd feelings, sensations, and energies in that house (which I was not privvy to until months after my experience), and being that I didn't fit a couple of the qualifications of the Old Hag syndrome, Mostly, the fact that I wasn't In or anywhere near sleep that night, I just feel that it may NOT have been Old Hag.
I've never experienced it before, or since. Not like that. Although the buzzing in my ears has occurred on several occassions since, especially around haunted sites, or sites which exude a certain amount of psychic energy (most notable, ghettysburg, where the buzzing accompanied me at almost every attraction I visited, as well as odd Scents...one of which was the scent of blood and gunpowder...mind you..I was only eight at the time, but kept telling my mom that I wanted to leave, because I smelled 'Death').

Something 'sorta similar' happened to me at Glastonbury Abbey.
I went to see where King Arthur is buried (I do believe...I do believe...) & I was sitting on the ledge at the side of the old nave when I heard a buzzing. There had been a bee following me around, & staying a few feet in front of me throughout the old church ruins. I didn't think the buzzing was from the bee 'cause it kept getting louder, though the bee never got any closer. I just had the feeling that I should just sit right there for awhile, so I sat & watched the bee. Nothing ever happened...the church didn't collapse, I didn't have visions, etc., but it I felt as if I HAD to stay there for a bit. Then suddenly, the feeling was gone, & when I left the church, the bee left me. I'm still trying to figure it out, though it 'kinda' gave me an idea for a book.
