J. died last night- she had just found out she had cancer, and boom, a few weeks later. Gone. She was 35 and a mom to 4 kids. She was so active in our town, Brownies, Boy Scouts, high school band, PTA. You name it, she was involved. But she wasn't the soccer mom type, she did it cuz she loved her kids and being around kids.
My kids are very good friends with her younger two. In fact they both slept over my house last month and were absolute dolls. I was a bit nervous about having two sets of older brother/little sister but they were awesome.
My kids are confused and concerned and sad. It is still such a shock. I am not sure how I feel- I am so sad for her kids, her husband, my kids-- and me. She was my friend too. But the worst is how my heart breaks for her, how she had to leave her kids. Say goodbye to them.....
Please think of her and her family please.
