On another forum that i go to, there was a link to a site that said British Gardnerian's are different to U.S. Gardnerian's, does anyone know if this is true?, i've heard that U.S. Gardnerian's recognise solitary wiccans and ecclectic wicca, but the British ones don't, is this true.

Are there any British Gardnerian's here (or Alexandrian's), what'd your opinion?, also if there are any U.S. ones, do you think this is true, have you had contact with British Gardnerian's, if so, what was your experience like e.g. did they recognise you as being 'legitimate' Gardnerian's or not.

Thanks.

Ah, David, in my experience there are individual Gardnerians that don't have a problem with "recognizing" Wiccans belonging to other traditions or solitaries as Wiccan and then there are individual Gardnerians who will not recognize anyone outside of their own tradition as Wiccan and some that won't recognize Gardnerians who are now solitary as Wiccan.

Inviting others to circle is another thing, entirely.

ed. to add: Individual Gardnerians (agian in my experience) fall all along between those two poles.
