Go Visit Poetry!!!

i've decided to revive the community poems, but it is hard to do that when nobody visits that section. i invite the people who have made contributions to these poems to see what's been done to them. maybe we can come up with final drafts? :p

[Earth Walker]

Astonished, the trees are in love and cannot hide it.
Sap rises, leaves unwind. Everywhere. Day by day,
by and by, another flower-another delicate body opens.
Their petals are fluent tongues. Astonished, the trees say it.

Notice how the hand cradles the tools with handles hewn from heartwood. How the arc of an ax or a hammer is a signature. Here to there, back and forth,
notice the wind, the scythe, the sickle, the weaver's
shuttle; how, from smooth grain and a knot of muscle,
comes the steady hiss and crack and hum of this one
endless life. :sunny:

i like! you should put that under your own thread in poetry so it doesn't get lost. :D would you like to help me start community poem III? the others are almost polished, so we need something new to work on. i like the idea of starting with a nifty phrase or a story line, because when i start something off the top of my head, i'll sit there until it is done, and if it is done, nobody else can scribble on it! :p help!!!

i like! you should put that in your own poetry thread so it doesn't get lost when this gets buried! :D would you like to help start community poem III? if i just started off of the top of my head, i'd go with it until it was done, and that'd defeat the purpose! :p starting with a story line or nifty phrase seems to work pretty well: got any :sunny: ideas?
