My grandmother Alice, whom my family affectionately calls 'Nana', is having a pace-maker installed tomorrow (Monday). The proceedure is relatively small and doesn't usually call for much worry, but because of some other health issues it's possible that the anesthesia used may aversely affect her. There's a chance--though I'm not sure how big--that she simply won't wake up. This afternoon might have been the last time I see her alive.
I'm worried, but I'm trying to stay positive and focus that positive intent on the issue. I was hoping that maybe you all could help, in some small way, bring her (and my family) through this.
Thanks, truly.
