Hmmmmmm...I would go to the website for the Discovery Channell, or The Learning Channell. These have both run wonderful programs on the miracle of birth, and the stages of pregnancy. I'm not so sure that they delve much into what the mother goes through..but they do give a wonderful outline of the developemental stages of the fetus. And I think you can order copies of almost every show they run.

Just go to their sites, and search for "Babies" or "Beginning of Life"..something in that veighn. Good luck.

i can't think of any videos but i've found babycenter.com (www.babycenter.com/fetaldevelopment) helpful. if you sign up they send you an email once a week explaining whats going on with you and the baby in the week of pregnancy that your in.

Our local library has a video section & have videos on childbirth & other great info. It's been such a long time for me! :) I know there is a great book called What to Expect When You're Expecting. It's given out by the Health Ministry here. Check at your library and see if they have any suggestions.

The Learning Channel has a show called "A Baby Story", and everyday it focuses on a different couple's pregnancy and birth, really cool show! On New Years Day, they had a marathon of the show (which I watched a good part of, after awhile, my husband wanted to watch something else LOL). We're getting ready for a baby this August *12th*, so I've been reading and doing TONS of research on everything, too.

Take WildChild's advice with the "What to Expect When You're Expecting" book . . . It is my new bible :D

Also, American Baby http://www.americanbaby.com has tons of articles and links on every stage of pregnancy and beyond.
