How did you chose ( be chosen ) Which gods you worship?
For the longest time, I worshiped Isis, She came into my life all the time! No matter where I went , She was there. That is how I came to be her daughter. But I lost my path with her, because I couldnt feel her any more....but that is of topic, so how did you?

I sort of found the gods that I've worked with over the years. I say worked with, because I've never truly been much of a proponent of full on worship. Offerings and building of a relationship sure, even adoration, but I've never taken it to the worship level.
Basically, the deities I've been drawn to, thus far only two which I seem to vacillate between, showed themselves to me by coincidence. Loki, I had dreams about and I knew his name, without ever knowingly have heard about him before. Apollo, I came to via a search on solar beings when I was in a low point in my life.

I'd always been drawn to bast, mainly through my love of cats, so i started working with her...over time i came to a realization. she was my matron...and had been for quite some time. looking back to my past i can clearly see her influence in my life. the same thing happened with ullr...it just took time for me to finally see all of what lay infront of me ^^;;

I started seeing signs. Symbols that were associated with the God/Goddess in particular. It took a bit to get my attention :megaphone: but once I caught on... :geez: Some days I'm SOOOO slow. LOL

hehe thats a good question :)...well I worship almost entirely the Hindu gos now, and how I came to that is actually at the core of my development.
A few years ago when I was just really in the first stages of learning about Wicca, I posted a personal on Wiychvox and started to meet people. I met a guy, who was a little older than me on there and we startd talking (I was like 15/16 at the time)...so we started talking and I developed a crush. So he came up one night to where I lived and we hung out and he brought a friend of his. His friend was a brown guy who I consdier a good friend now, and this guy brought over an 18 inch solid bronze statue of Kali...and I rememebr at the time I think it would be good to impess him by getting and learning about this Kali. So i did research (as I had no real social life), but amonst that so much change was happening in friends, my social lie, my development, and my understanding. Eventually my 'crush' of the first friend was just really getting to me and now I honstly find it a bit funny, yet every time I see this guy its awkward...but anyway so I started just delving more and more into Hinduism and this small group of 'friends' who were quite diverse, styarted to open my mind up...and in effect I can see now that whatever God is, it was sending me these people to affect my life and guide me to a point where I didnt need others but could go on to learn about things by myself...and now Im here. In essence, I can say that in soem ways these friends were like avatars of the gods I worship now because they each represent a small part of Godhoodto me at the time, and that legacy has left me with greater understanding and also greater acceptance and tolerance. If that makes any real sense...

Trial and Error.
After learning of a god or goddess and in someway coming to connect with him or her, hang out for a while. Chat. Get to know each other. It's like cultivating a friendship--sometimes you hit it off with someone right away, and sometimes it takes time. Sometimes you'll learn that you don't really get along, and that's fine too. You've just got to try and to err.

I'm still exploring that. I'm drawn to many different gods and goddesses...

what happened to me was....
At first, I was really into the whole, worship thing.....then I started reading more and more about Isis, I wanted to know every thing about her.
THen It dawned on me .....that I think Gods.....well....they think of us as lesser beings....yes maybe I'm not as smart, or as pretty as some....but that dosent mean I'm less then any one!
this made me angry.
So after that, I became angry with all the "higher ups"
sense then....I'f never been able to conect with them again. I think I subconsiocly ignore them.
I'm trying to explore a diffrent path, I want to find my way without gods. But my journey is slow and tiring...

I realize that thank you! The point is!
Some Gods rub it in your face, I'm not followeing after some stuck up know it all! If you have power...you don abuse it....Gods .....abuse it.
Any way what I'm trying to say is I'm screwed I guess. Cuz I revuse to follow. Its in my blood. I am Pagan....just without a god/goddess.
Maybe I should just suck it up, and pick one @ss hole over another. I mean there has to be atleast on god out there who isnt full of him/her self?
I fyou find one please let me now ;)

actually i think the point is...
if you don't believe, then don't believe!
most people project their own images of the gods onto Them. the real truth is probably more to the effect that the gods don't care enough about ones petty machinations to bother rubbing anything in ones face. i seriously doubt They need your attention that much.

The way I figure it, gods really don't need names. People attribute names and aspects to gods/goddesses. So if you are attracted to a certain aspect of the religion, then by all means use that god/goddess. But if you prefer to keep them nameless, that is ok too. I still call mine moon goddess after all these years.
I was first introduced to her at the age of 3 and reminded of her again when I cut my finger and have a scar the shape of a crescent moon. There really isn't a name for my goddess. She just is.

Well, here is a website that you might be interested in, its about Pantheism, its essentially Pagan worship but without the Gods (or so I can gather) I think there are a few Pantheists around MW.

P.S.
If that doesn't work for you, there is always Bob, like Billy said...but just make sure you have everything in writing and make sure you call your solicitor before you sign anything! ;)

hey thanx for the link, I did find that vary insightful...Also thank you to each of you who have offered me advise.
I shall take all of it to mind, and think hard and clear on it.....
I just have to admit, I feel lost....maybe insignificant. And I cant conect with Gods it seems....Even my Empathic work has suffered greatly...I need to retreat into myself....and figure it out....
so once again thanx
