I woke up this morning with a strange message from my dream...
"With Madrigal Butterflies on the cover"
I didn't even know Madrigal was a word, so when I got to work I did a search on dictionary.com.
mad·ri·gal ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mdr-gl)
n.
A song for two or three unaccompanied voices, developed in Italy in the late 13th and early 14th centuries.
A short poem, often about love, suitable for being set to music.
A polyphonic song using a vernacular text and written for four to six voices, developed in Italy in the 16th century and popular in England in the 16th and early 17th centuries.
A part song.
Further searching indicated that there might even be a species of butterfly called madrigal butterflies. Which was interesting. I couldn't verify it though.
Anyone have any idea why I was given this message, or the significance?

Butterflies mean nothing to me. I know they are insects, I have seen them flying around. Not lately though cause I live in NJ and they don't survive that long in the suburbs.
I was thinking about the word cover. But I don't know if it means cover of a book, a pillow case, or something entirely different.
I try to keep busy with my life so at any moment theres always something I am working on. But I don't know what it was refering to.
As for paying attention to my dreams. I don't usually remember them. The ones I do remember are usually very unique. Thats why I remember this dream, cause it was unique. However there was more to the dream, the message was given at the END of the dream. I wish I could remember what the rest of the dream was about.
If I were to guess, I am supposed to look for something with butterflies on the cover. Madrigal refers to a love poem written into a song. So this may be related to love.
Maybe I'm supposed to write a poem...
With love
---------
In time with love waiting for a chance
a moment to flutter and to dance
sought after like a song with memories
searching for a way to make amends
with love a moment lost not won
as shadows mingle with light's wanning twin
some question the laughter of love's romance
a question or is it just perchance?
So long as the willow sways to and fro
and the brooks run still with a breathing beat
I shall look for you in the book of life
with madrigal butterflies on the cover

Butterflies are a symbol of transformation i.e. caterpillar transforms into butterfly
So maybe its something to do with transformation in your life (in a musical/poetic way  )

I agree with sage.
It may mean that you should be exploring your voice as a means of transforming yourself. Or you should explore transformation through music in some way.
watch whenever you see butterflies they may have medicine for you to learn. Look up butterfly medicing in google and see what you find.

I believe that has "Madrigal" on it.It's a memorial box set for... I think it was the drummer? who died.
