ok, so you've heard of dressing a taper candle, what about how to dress a jar candle? I've looked and looked and can't seem to find an answer....Does anyone know how to charge and dress 7 day jar candles?

For dressing I'd say just put it on the top of the wax that you can rich, and reapply it every time before lighting. I charge my jar candles the same way I do regular ones.

What Lia said and also maybe see if u can pour it down the sides or if not put some on the jar or sit in jar in a saucer of a little of the dressing? Not sure use your imagination :D

I have heard of some people taking a butter knife and putting it between the glass and the candle, then pouring oil in it. You could also paint symbols on the glass itself.

You can dress it just as You would a taper or other candle for Your magical purposes. Do not let the glass jar throw you off. If you are using an oil do apply some to the wax area up top as you charge it with your intents and energies.Good Luck in Your endeavor!

If you throw into the freezer for 10 minutes it will pop right out of the jar. humph on second thought that will only work if the bottom is the same size as the top. I use the freezer to pop it out but it may not work for you if your jar opening is smaller than candle. Let us know what you do.

Thanks everyone for answering my question. This is what I did: I cast a circle and I cleansed and consecrated the candle with the elements. Anointed the exposed wax at the top and wick with an equal armed cross and tied a ribbon around the candle corresponding to the mgaick and dedicated it to my purpose and put my intent into the candle. and lit it.
