Australian Animal Tarot

OK, I have finally gotten around to playing with my Australian Animal Tarot which I got for Yule. I'm finding it's not as easy to connect with as my other oracles, but I'm giving it a shot.

If anyone wants me to do a reading with them, let me know :)

Like I said, these cards haven't really been hitting it off real well with me, but this is what I'm getting. I did a Four Directions Spread, which basically indicates where you are now, and what is influencing you. I also drew a scarab from my scarab oracle regarding the career stuff, that's at the bottom.

Where You Are Now: The Hierophant (Wombat)

You are looking for a new beginning. The Hierophant is the keeper of the keys, the keys to your freedom perhaps? Notes

Really I think the biggest message for you coming through right now is time and change. Things are moving slowly in giving you the answer you need, but stay awake and open to the changes that are coming into your life as they will hold the keys to what you are supposed to do next. Take time to relax, meditate and receive these messages. They may come from some unlikely sources too.

The scarab I drew with regard to career is Bast. She is a positive sign for artistic careers, dance, theater, graphic arts, environmental preservation, and wildlife preservation. So perhaps you might like to look into those areas.

If you are crafty or artistic maybe try selling some of your work in a local store, or get involved with a local dance or acting group as a hobby, this may provide you with an insight into work or other things you'll be interested in. Or maybe if you're not into acting etc, you might find like-minded people at a local wilderness sanctuary or preservation group. Perhaps you can even volunteer at a local animal shelter or something like that if you like animals!

Hi Silver Venus,

I did a two card reading for you. Usually it's supposed to show me the shadow and the light sides to the question. In your case, the good that is to come from the next month, and the shadow work that you need to be aware of and may need to deal with.

I got the following:

Shadow: Temperance (Kookaburra)

Key words are laughter and joy with this card, so I'm not sure where the shadow side comes in. It can indicate a time of waiting, and perhaps a need to do some mirror work with yourself. So maybe that's what it's getting at, time to do some shadow work on yourself, not that there is a possible shadow side to the month. I would think that if anything, things will move slowly in February for you, and while this may or may not be frustrated, just go with it, and use the time to find joy and laughter in your life.

Light: The Empress (Dugong)

A very positive card! She is all about sacred gifts, and happy relationships. Maybe indicating time to be spent with family - most likely females in the family, mother, sister, female cousin, etc. A gentle walk this month is what she is indicating, perhaps some time to just relax and enjoy the moment!

So both cards together seem to indicate a slowing down compared to your regular schedule, and a need to just recoup, relax and enjoy the ride :)

I can totally indentity with both of those cards, thank you very much for reading for me!
The shadow relates to my mood at the moment. I do want to take things slow at the moment, just cos Im feeling lazy after all the celebrations of the holidays! January is always an anti climax I think and this year bigger than ever. Im happy with how work is going and Im just enjoying my own company allot as Im staying in more.
I'm also just about to start doing Reiki professionally :) So thats whats hopefully going to be the big thing next month and fits with the joy and laughter part!

Im also goign to visit my sister this weekend! :) & I love the idea of getting the Empress and my light I hope it will be a happy spring all round!
