Well, you could look in the Green Room which is where people share info about recipes and beauty products. There's probably a thread in there about hand creams

Try some really good lotion without any added fragrance as these tend to be very drying. She should put on the lotion at bed time and then put on white cotton gloves. Petrolium jelly works good with this method as well. For daytime they have some new lotions out there that don't wash off right away! She should also use rubber gloves while cleaning (especiallly while cleaning, these products can truly irritate and dry out the skin) or washing dishes being sure to slather on lots of lotion before putting the gloves on.

What I do is use a triple anti-biotic ointment with lidocaine in it. It's over the counter stuff. Put it on the hands and then put on the white cotton gloves. This works pretty well for dry cracked feet except use white cotton socks!

Flaxseed oil is great for skin conditions. You can take it internally & rub it on the dry skin. I think I've posted a calendula cream recipe in the Green Room. I'll see if I can find it. If not, I'll post it again. Really good & healing for dry & irritated skin.

For dry skin:
This is the quick way...
1 cup of jojoba oil
1 cup of calendula petals
Heat oil at very low temp & add calendula petals. Heat for 15 mins. Turn off the heat & let sit for 1 hour. Strain & bottle oil.
5 tsp of infused oil
1 tsp grated beeswax
4 drops teatree essential oil
3 drops frankincense essential oil
3 drops myrrh essential oil
2 drops bergamot essential oil
Melt the beeswax & oil in a pot over a hot water bath. Don't use aluminum pots. When wax has melted, let the mixture cool a bit & then add the essential oils. Mix it all together & pour into a clean dry jar. Let it harden & use as needed. This salve is very healing for dry chapped skin.
