I am writing a series of rituals and ceremonies and I am need of a specific sort of Gods and Goddesses. I am looking for dieties of war, of darkness, lunar deities, of evil, and etc. Dark deities pretty much. Also, I am very interested in finding (hopefully) several gods that perhaps overthrew other gods. They will wrok very well for one or two of the rituals/ceremonies I have been piecing together. I know you all here are very intelligable on the subject and I hope to get the best answers, or perhaps the worst if that is all I am offered. Thank you for your time.

Deities aren't plug-and-play - at least introduce yourself before you decide to call them into your ritual space. To just call a total stranger and expect them to show up and do what you ask is rude.
That being said, try looking up "pantheons" on Google. Then you can look for specific kinds of deities from different ones. You will get what you're looking for.

Here, I'm looking for a base to start. Don't worry... I'm just really bad with myth/pantheons/etc. I know what you mean by the "plug-and-play" thing you mentioned. I just wanted the names, then I could do a background search and get to know them, etc.

With respect Darius...so many Gods and Goddesses have been talked about on this board...so perhaps you should look at all the other posts on this forum before asking us to just give over information to you...I think you'll find a very good intro to each major or minor deity by looking at who worships them...and the information they can share.

Why don't you give Loki a shot. He's always fun.

I'm looking for names, not explanations.

Almost 41 full pages of threads on a variety of different Gods...you're already here...go forth :D...perhaps I am a little skepticle becasue for whatever purpose you're rituals will be and sicne you have already included the word evil once here Im a little skepticle...so you have a great resource yourself right on this forum...

Evil is a word that (in my belief) was labled to those that want to escape the inevitability of binding with the source by those who are afraid to pursue other paths.

If then evil does not exist...why include it? I have a list of some mostly eastern deities if you are interested, like kali and Shiva in his Bhairab form if you're interested...were there any specific areas or cultures you were looking for?

Modern association.
EDIT: I'm not searching for any specifics. Come right down it it, they're all the same. I just want a broad knowledge of the different lords/gods/goddesses of darkness and etc.
EDIT: I've always been interested in Eastern deity...

Well the east is certainly of no major qaurrel with anything that could be percieved to be malevolent, dark or chaotic. kali is a perfect example. There are many others, Durga the fierce warrior Goddess, Chamunda the plague goddess, Bhairab the dark form of Shiva, Nirrti the Goddess/God of death who rides a man, Yama God of death, Agni god of fire and purification....thats all i can think of the top of my head :)
