Yes but only so I can go to several sites and rant about how the werewolf is always the bad guy. I mean to see pure evil one shouldnt look to a mythical beast.

I think its brotherhood of the wolf, and the monster didnt look like a werewolf...maybe a Wendigo or something, it looked huge.

I'd love to see it, but it probably won't come anywhere around here.

As for werewolves always being the "bad guy," well, you know how it is. It's so easy to pick on something that is "different" than something familiar. For me, however, the best "evil" characters in movies and books are "real" people, not mythical beasts.

"Too many quotes" ;)

I agree Psyche, as many of my favourite books have human monsters rather than supernatural monsters etc. It makes it all the more chilling/horrifying.

is just another version of the old greek representations. Where the werewolves, or centaurs, represent the inner beast in men.
That is why werewolves are the primal killers with no control over there actions and only rudimentary cunning or intelligence. Film makers dont see themselves as making a monster out of a werewolf, but rather using the existing werewolf monster model.

Yes, Mato, most werewolves are portrayed as evil in the movies.....but this is a FRENCH werewolf. Obviously it is only portrayed as a snooty, rude werewolf.

( apologies for the steroetyping to any of the fine french people on this board, I could not help myself! Sorry. ....... please keep the pastries coming:)

I really want to see the movie. I have read reviews that said it was so beautifully filmed it does not matter if there was a plot or not. Sounds like a good one to buy on video/dvd when it comes out. Yummy eye candy.
