Ok so the weekly topics are a great place for everyone to share their thoughts or questions on a certain topic about divination. Hopefully we can learn or share something new for ourselves or others.

This week:

One of the things that happens often is people show up with vague questions, about what you do origin and such. They want you to tell them EVERYTHING you know, but are never clear on what they want, why they want it, what they want to do with it...how do you deal with such queries? They are not really asking for a reading on or about themselves...just vague and in circles.

If you have a suggestion for a weekly Divination topic, please PM me.

I prefer readings like that for me its the best way to read for a person. It would be much easier to read for people if they didn't tell me so much.

This is a hard one to answer isn't it. That is kinda the point of this weeks thread.

How can you answer someone who is not clear, (for inability to understand their own question, fear, mental illness, what ever reason) BUT wants information.

What information, you ask them? and they give you a BIG vague blah blah.

Now think for a moment it is on a DIFFERENT topic then divination or magic or your path.

Say that the topic was, There is a lot of water on the planet, and there is a lot in the oceans, what is the water in the oceans path?

Or I was thinking about how people mostly live on continents, they seem big, why is that?

You will have people and DO HAVE people like that come up, even here on MW...and you have to deal with them.

How do you deal with them?

I do the readings as well as I can do, keeping as serious as possible. Once they realise I'm not going to chase them and I actually have a concrete idea of what I'm doing, they get discouraged and leave.

Not that I miss them!

i think that is a really good way of stating it

a) i'm NOT going to chase them

too often folks are looking for the "game" they want, and the quick fix of how they can do readings, cast spells, whatever

and

b) once they realize they know you are "concrete" in what you believe/do/etc

they get hey wait, this is NOT like a tv show, this is NOT a game to you, etc
