People try so hard to be "normal". No one is normal. We're all strange, people are just afraid to embrace their abnormality. I'm not. I have taught my daughter that when she sees kids at school who have dyed their hair purple or have their bodies all pierced, that's not wierd, they're just expressing their individuality. They're not afraid to be themselves.

Uhhuh. I don't think you have to worry about people here trying to be normal.

Actually pretty much everyone is normal to someone, just means you don't know them well enough. It's trying to be a freak that's harder. You gotta dye your hair, wear funny clothes, it's a hell of a lot easier to be normal. No one is normal to themselves, but other people are because they don't know them. It's just as simple as remaining completely obscure. Much easier then being a freak.

Normal by my standards or normal by society's standards?
I have friends who are both, one or the other, or neither.
And no it isn't because I do or don't know them well enough. hehe oh the people I know might come here and read what else I'd say so I won't :)

I don't think anyone HAS to dye their hair or dress unconventionally. They do it to express themselves. When I was in high school, I dressed like Madonna (1980s Madonna). Some kids thought it was cool, some thought it was weird. I did it because I liked her style and wanted to emulate her.

I always got called weird in school. This is me, average height, average weight, plain brown hair, plain brown eyes, light skin, maybe one or two freckles, in jeans and a sweat shirt. No piercings, no tattoos, no wild hair, quiet, polite... but weird..? *shrugs* None of them are able to say why I was weird either. Oh well :)

Isn't it considered "normal" to be Christian? If so, I guess we all are abnormal freaks without trying to hard, fallon.
