Ok at what point in your pregnancy have you begun to have contractions that are regular. I don't care if it is brackston hicks or real ones. Both types hurt like the dickens to me. I have been having them off and on for weeks but they are getting more persistant and painful lately.

I get BH contractions daily... and have for quite awhile now. They aren't regular or consistent though.

I've been having them since around my 5th month. And apparently the ones that are getting worse for me, sounding like the ones you're having, aren't "real" contractions. They're just BH. I say if you are really worried, call your doctor. Better to get things checked out and make sure everything is okay then to keep going on with the possibilty of it being real.

They think it is a bladder infection triggering mine. Tomorrow morning I get my meds from the pharmacy so 24 hours later if they are triggered by the infection the contractions should stop if they don't we will have to look for other causes.

Drink a big glass f water and put your feet up. They can be triggered by dehydration.

I have a LOT of braxton hicks, every day, all day. Have had for weeks and weeks now.
Have you had your urine tested for a urinary infection?
The difference between BH and real contractions is whether or not they are regular and are increasing in strength. BH are irregular, all over the place with no specific pattern, where as real contractions are regular, gradually growing more intense, closer together and longer.

I do have a UTI we are hoping that the antibiotics I was given will stop these but so far no luck. They are fairly regular but are not getting more frequent so far I am just listed as at risk for preterm labor.
