And by calling them mythological, I don't mean "false". Perhaps I should have said magiickal. Anyway...I mean things like..

Unicorns,
Pegasus,
Gryffins,
Gargoyles
Faeries,
Elves,
Gnomes,

Etc?

My favorite is probably Unicorn, followed by Faeries, Lepreachauns, Pooka's, Gargoyles, Gryffins.

Feel free to name others, that I've forgotten to add to the list.

Unicorns
Wee Folk
Pegasus

I used to think that a Unicorn lived in the woods near my house. *NO LAUGHING WTCHYCHICK!* Cause every time it snowed, the woods seemed to have this "magical" feeling to it. I told a friend once that I believed there was one, and you know what? he didn't even laugh. He said, "You know. You're probably right. One day we should go search for it" he was a great guy.

There is this wonderful book called God Bless the Gargoyles. My mom got it for my son a few years ago, and it is just beautifully written and illustrated. It is about how the gargoyles are sad and lonely because people fear them. One of my son's first words was gargoyles and we would go to the Nature Store and he would go up to them and kiss them. He has always really loved them. :)

If my son had to answer this question, he would say gargoyles and dragons. He has a stuffed gargoyle that he even sleeps with!

"Winged Unicorns" I don't know what everyone else calls them, but as a child, my mother told me that the females were pegahorns, and the males were unipegs. I believed that for the longest time. I also belived they lived in the clouds, and that was why we couldn't see them. Second, unicorns I loved them since I was two, despite the fact that my first equine toy was a pegasus, my third fav.Oh, and the unicorns lived in the mountains.

Unicorns - to me symbolize wisdom and pureness
Chimera - Symbolize power, strenghth, and speed
and
Basilisk...it is like a 2 foot tall rooster with a ten foot long dragon tail...ti me symbolizes how nature can turn ugly in a matter of sec....

imagin...
everywhere it passes through turns into a desert
makeing direct eye conact can turn you to stone...in which there is no escape
and when passing an area all birds in flight just drop dead...no exeptions...exept they need to be in flight i think

well...thats me atleast

If you include the mystic type RACES ( not animals ) I gotta go with drarves all the way.
we actually have alot of people in the valley that look like gnomes elves and one old guy who I'd swear was a goblin.

If not I'd have to say dragon or Ravens (not crows theyre intirely differnt)

Élistariel

I guess it would be an equine sound, depending on the breed. A horse neighs, donkeys uh, bleat or something, I dunno, and zebras make that weird noise. Or better yet, they could quack like ducks. :nyah:

Unicorns... because that means that if I had one, I'd get my own Tom Cruise in my back yard to watch over them!! :cutie: :hearteyes :p :heartthro :smooch: :loveduv: :ahhhh: :mmm: Ah, Legend...

But in reality... I'd say

Faeries
Gryphons
Dragons
Chimeras
...Sharks... <---- :2G: You know... like Jaws :D:p

Well basically anything in mythology interested me... even the people.

Oh and does a Chupa cobre (sp) count? J/K! :D *does the punchline drum thing to all the Staff members*
