The past week I've had bad nausea, and have tried my best to fight it. Today i couldnt control it at all and was really sick. Morning sickness is finially here! I felt better after, but Im starting to not feel well again. Im atleast happy to have these symptoms, because it means everythings going good with the pregnancy.. Time to pick up saltines, and keep them by my bed!

I feel soooo lucky that I didn't have this with either pregnancy.

:hugz: I've had it with both of my other 2 pregnancy's.. im wondering if maybe this baby is a girl also..since I was so sick with hannah and Olivia.. We wont know till atleast 20 weeks. Im not only dealing with nausea and morning sickness, but acid reflux as well.. I have anti nausea pills from last time, but they made me drowsy. I ended up having to cut them in half.. Im really leary taking them this early on,even if my doctor did prescribe them for me during my last pregnancy...

Morning sickness:

To prevent:

Avoid low bloodsugar as this brings on nausea; eat small, frequent meals, rich in protein.

Walk a mile a day, to prevent the build up of nausea causing hormones in the body.

Increase your iron and vit.B-complex intake (esp. B1 and B6). 10- 20 mg a day.

Eat unsalted crackers or dry toast, before getting out of bed.

Get out of bed SLOWLY, avoiding sudden movements or sitting up fast.

Avoid greasy and spicy foods.

Drink a cup of Anise and/or Fennel seed tea when you wake up and before getting out of bed.

Add one teaspoon of apple cider to 8 ounzes of warm water and drink, first thing in the morning.

To combat nausea (in order of increasing strength- start of with the mild ones, before moving on to the stronger ones!)

Fresh air- open the window or go outside. It can do wonders. Think of something other than the nausea, as thinking of it makes it worse. watch TV, read or talk.

Rasberry leaf tea- sip 1- 3 cups throughout the day.

Tea made from dried peach leaves.

Sip Peppermint or Spearmint tea throughout the day.

Ginger root tea.

Wild Yam Root tea, sip throughout the day.

B6 vitamin 25 mg x 3 daily.

Ginger root capsules (250 mg x 4 daily).

Sea Bands are little bands you put on your wrists that put pressure on certain pressure points that have to do with nausea. No side effects as with some anti-nausea pills, and they really do work. You can get them at any drug store, or store that has a pharmacy. (I got mine from Wal-Mart) Just ask for them, they are usually kept behind the counter. :D They range in about the $10 price range for a set, but you'd only ever need 1 set. :) It also comes with instructions on how to find the exact point on your wrist to get the maximum effect. Hope this helps you as much as it helped me :D

I escaped morning sickness, mostly. Although I felt nauseous ... and long rides stuck in a car ... as soon as I was home again, I'd be throwing up.

im wondering if maybe this baby is a girl also..

If the the father is the same as with the two other girls, then there is an 80% chance that the one you are expecting now, is a girl as well.

do you mean if the father is the same as were the last 2? Yes, my husband is the father to hannah ,Olivia and this new baby.. :D I know my dad had all girls, but dont know about my husband, but so far, both girls..
I looked up when I was sick with Olivia, and this pregnancy and the last are very similar m/s wise.. I feel it may be a girl also, but we will know in a couple months. :) I'm just hoping for a healthy child. If it turns out to be a boy,i'll be happy also..:) time will tell

Peppermint tea worked wonders for me. I would buy it in Celestial Seasonings with their Raspberry tea. That is supposed to strengthen your uterus.

according to babycenter.com and my ticker im due january 17th also, but my doctor told me january 19th,which im not sure is right, because i know i concieved on either the 25th or 26th... I had spotted on the 24th,tried early mrning on the 25th.. :)

I have found that some foods dont agree with me now. Like taco bell.. I had some the other day,and got bad stomach ache and SEVERE nausea. I had to just lay still in bed and not move a muscle, because I knew if i moved,i'd be sick.. I had no problem with my husband eating the leftovers lol . Im sick of hamburgers too,and most meats, but am loving veggies and fruit now.. I also had a milkshake the other day..which my mother in law is limiting me to 1 a month! :( I have a history of gestional diabetes with my first, and since my mother in law is diabetic.. she's keeping her eyes on me.. I've also starting getting cramps here in there in my sides of abdomen..which I know are normal, but still worry when I feel them. Im so afraid I wont get to the 12 week point sometimes.. only 4 weeks 2 days to go! :) then i'll be more relaxed..

Yeah I think I'll be making a trip to the local grocery store today as well. We are out of all things healthy. We have hot pockets and bagle bites...and other such disgusting things. I couldn't eat that stuff if I tried. I'd be so so so sick. I can't eat much of anything I used to love. Salad is my best friend.

I bought my preggy pops from a maternity clothing shop in the mall (motherhood), and I'm sure other maternity stores would carry them. Or you can get them online...
My little bean website (http://www.mylittlebean.com/preggypops.html)
or
Three Lollies website (http://www.threelollies.com/)

Both have good info on them. :D
