Merry meet,
I was wondering what your favorite deck of divination cards were. They can be Tarot or anything else, just state what it is that you like or work with best and why.

blessings,
Autumn

I like my Universal Waite deck best. Though I'm really hoping to get my hands on a Ukiyoe deck. :)

While other decks have fantastic art. My most accurate deck is still the Witche's tarot. The one without the borders by ellen cannon reed.

Robin Wood Tarot and Tarot of the Northern Shadows are the two that I've been using most often lately, but I will grab various other decks depending upon the circumstances and which one is clamoring most to come out and play.

I have worked with three decks before, two being Tarot and one being a Druid deck of animal cards, the one I work with best.

I've worked with the Adrian tarot and the Thoth deck, the Adrian is a great beginners deck, but I can't tell much intuitively. My Thoth deck works well when I do readings on others, just not myself. :/ It hardly ever says much of anything that is postive if I ask for myself, but its very accurate on others.

I've a deck by Ralph Blumm on its way to me, the Rune cards, its in Flordia and should be shipped to me very soon. I'm anxiously waiting!

So I guess my favorite deck as of now is the Druid animal cards. They tell of anicent ways and give healing and council. :)

Autumn

Though I'm really hoping to get my hands on a Ukiyoe deck. :)Not sure if you're aware (or if it matters to you) but the Ukiyoe is a deck with non-illustrated minors, or "pips". If you are accustomed to the Universal Waite it may present quite a challenge. :)

Also I think the deck may be out of print, so you might want to search on ebay. You could also check with www.tarotgarden.com (http://www.tarotgarden.com) to see if they can find it for you.

I generally prefer tarot to oracles. I enjoy using all of my decks but I particularly like my Goddess Tarot (Waldherr) and the Nigel Jackson, which is now sold as the Medieval Enchantment. I think I have my Gothic deck (Vargo) in my purse and my Robin Wood is in my desk drawer at work.

Addicted much? :D

Thanks much for the info. I'm always up for a challenge, and hey if I can't figure it out I can always keep the deck for the beautiful art work. (I really love the queen of cups, as you can see in my avatar :) )

I've found the deck on Amazon, ebay and it's currently out of stock at tarotgarden. Unfortunately, it was priced at over $50 at all those places. My friend suggested I make a thread about it on this board to see if I can get a better deal, so I may be doin that soon.

If you ever do come across the deck in your ventures for a good price feel free to poke me in the right direction. lol

As far as artwork on the deck goes, I have the Gilded Tarot and I'm absolutely in love with it. I do like the Thoth deck considerably as well though.

You mean I have to pick ONE?! <dies>

Seriously, I don't think I can pick an over all favorite. However I do really prefer some decks over others depending on what I need and what the reading is about.

I own several different decks, but I only have ever used one, The faerie Oracle. Please don't flame me for using a non-traditional deck, it wokrs so well for me and all my readings are so spot on. I have a mini sized regular Tarot deck and I let my three year old, draw cards out for me and others, and man, she is good!
