**He's OK!!!!**

I was going to lunch with my dad for my birthday and just as we pull out of my work, we get a phone call from the Kellog ID police dept. Seems my brother fell asleep at the wheel and got in a really bad accident. Luckily, it was only him, but it was bad enough that it totalled a full size 3/4 ton pickup and the cop says my brother is lucky to be alive. Then he gave us the name of the hospital, but that's all he would say.

So, I called the hospital and the ER dept said he just got there, he is talking and they are running standard tests...but that's all they would say. I'm freaking out here! He's my baby brother...he's only 19. He called me this morning to say happy birthday...but I didn't get to talk to him....Please...please just let him be OK.

My mom and dad and sister are all on their way there...but I couldn't go. I'm depending on them to keep me informed. Please, anything you can spare for my brother. His name is Daniel. Thank you.

energy sent!! my brother was in a very bad accident when he was ninteen, it kept him from going into the air force, he was going in two days from when it happened. he was pretty banged up and we were out of our minds. he is twenty two now and fine. maybe this accident will keep your brother from something far worse. i truly hope he comes out ok i will keep him and your family in my thoughts. :hugz:

My sister just called, my brother is OK!! Better than OK, actually considering the condition of the vehicle. He's already been released with some bumps, bruises and 2 stitches. :boing:

Oh thank Gods!!!!

And CURSE that stupid cop for scaring the shit out of me!

cops tend to do that, it's one of the standard lines they say, just makes them sound that little bit more important.

I'm really glad your brother is going to be ok.

In defense of the cop, they are very limited on what they are allowed to say. It sounds heartless, and I have been on the receiving end of the terrifying lack of information before, but there is only so much they can give out. =-/

REALLY happy your bro is gonna be ok though.
