Crystal Psychometry?

Has anyone had experience with this? I do not know, yet, how to attune to the crystal in such a way.

What feelings or impressions do you get? How does it feel?

All my crystals are tuned to me. I have my way of doing it. Others may have their own ways.

I take and cleanse my crystals in salt water. Let it sit in the sun and in the night for 12 equal hours. Then I take my crystal hold it in my hands and begin to feel it, take in it's unique vibrations. I let my natural vibrational rthymn flow with the crystal. As this hapens I visualise me becoming one with it. I do this for as long as I can sustain the connection. Then my crystal is tuned to me. And I do not let anyone else touch my crystals.

But let me rephrase: Say, if you get a crystal from someone else, do you get emotional impressions, or feelings that come from it, when it is put in your hand? This would be working with an uncleansed crystal.

I do somewhat the same thing.

First I cleanse the crystal. I do this by waiting for the night of the full moon and allowing the crystal to be cleansed by both the sun and the full moon.

After this the crystal doesnt leave my body until we have merged and know each others' vibrations through and through. This process can take anywhere from 3 or 4 days to 4 to 6 weeks and involves some basic steps....
1) the crystal is placed in a pouch in my pillow every night while I sleep.
2) It is carried with me throughout the day in a pouch I carry either around my neck or attached to my belt.
(note: with rare exceptions none of my working crystals are larger than something that would fit in the palm of my hand...its not the size that counts. This makes them a lot easier and more comfortable to work with. It also allows you to easily carry them with you when extended healing or work is required. For larger crystals which I use for stimulating the energies in a particular area I cleanse them the same way but after this I only ask for thier inborn engergies to stimulate the environ in which they are placed so the process is much shorter.)
3) I try to spend time each day in meditation with the crystal. Time will vary starting with as little as 5 minutes at the start and ending with as much as 30 minutes towards the end of the learning process with the crystal.

The length of the process, as mentioned above, will vary greating depending on a lot of variables. Its important for me to spend time with all my crystals on a regular basis and several times in the past a crystal with which I have been working with for several years will open to me a new level of understanding years later.

Crystals do carry impressions left by others, these are some of the variables I mentioned above. Cleansing usually takes care of this but at times you may need to do more than one cleansing to completely clear it of some engeriges. Something I have found and which holds true for me is that if crystals were mined unethically or underwent undo stress, at times, it takes longer to tap into the energies of these crystals and get a clear understanding of what they will offer in your work. For some this isnt as long of a time but for me.. only cleansing minerals on full moons... it means that if the first cleansing was incomplete I get clouded signals from the crystal over the next 4 weeks.. sometimes my work with the cystal alone clears this cloudiness, sometimes my work increases but doesnt end until a second cleansing is done at which time it opens to me completely, and sometimes.. the second cleansing opens the door for me to finish my work within a few days to a few weeks after. Only 2 times have I had to go through 3 cleansings to open a crystal's engergies to me.

I have on occassion received impressions of someone from holding crystals not tuned to me or cleansed. I sometimes get a whole picture of a person or just a feeling. I can do that with other objects as well, not just crystals and stones.

From what I can gather, psychometry using crystals works slightly differently from ordinary psychometry using objects such as jewellery, etc.

For example, I used to know a woman who would hold and look at people's crystals and tell them what the crystal was here to do for them, what it's purpose was for them, etc. Like, she would say "this crystal is with you at this time to help you with your relationships" and stuff like that (she might even name the specific relationship issue that the crystal wants to help the person with). She recieved this information from the appearance of the stone, as well as impressions she got from it.

When I bring a new friend (stone) home, I will often "ask" it (after it has been cleansed) what it's purpose is for me. It is very easy to tell whether a crystal wants to be with you to help you with healing, relationships, changing attitudes, growth, or whatever... go with your first impressions.

no it doesn`t. But after a while when you collect many many stones you usually don`t do this unless something is wrong with the stone or you really need that stone in your life. With me most of my stones are waiting for the proper owner to come.

so many of my stones i found hounding around so cleansing them is a not necessary. but then there are those i've been given and/or purchased .... on cleansing, i ask the stones if they need to be cleansed for exactly the reason you posed the question you did. i think that some stones need to bring the energy others have put in them for you ... cleansing them would be like taking an antibiotic for a virus ... antibiotics do nothing for a virus, but kills all the good bacteria you need to maintain your health balance. i am especially cautious about cleansing any 'record keepers' ... especially those stones that are very sensitive. i wouldn't want to accidentally wipe out a harddrive! i use a pendulum to help me decide if i can't just feel something ... i do nothing until i feel i should do something.

i had a stone for over a year ... worked with it ... a quartz and one day it just said, "sun bath" ... so i put it out to sit in the sun, but that wasn't good enough ... it literally wanted a 'sun bath' so, in a tub of salt water in the baking sun it went ... i think she need her drive erased to start recording some new information.
