Have you had trouble with your sciatic nerve before? It is not something that automatically comes with pregnancy. Have you talked to your doc about it? A chiropractor might be able to help.
A few things that can help:
- only wear flat shoes.
- do streching excercises that stretch your hip/buttock/thigh muscles (see pics)
- swimming
- avoid sitting for long periods, keep to standing or lying down
- massage

When I was 8 months pregnant with my second daughter, she was sit on my sciatic nerve. If I gently moved her over a bit, changed positions, like rolled over to my other side, she would be off of the sciatic nerve. Try changing you position. If you are sitting down and favor one hip, try the other hip. or lay day on your other side. That might help.

I suffered with it with Tera. It started with her at about 6-7 months along. This go around, it started around 5 months. Some days are worse than others. But usually, it's only really bad at night, when I'm trying to relax and go to sleep. Sleeping with a pillow between my knees has helped me alot. But other than that, Tylenol when it get's really bad and a soak in the a wamr tub of water are the only things I've had to help me! Good luck!!
