I'm very happy and excited, that I now can post here. :) We;ve been trying to get pregnant for a year now, and after many months of crying and worrying, I am now pregnant! :) I'm almost 10 weeks along, and although I have quite a bit of morning sickness, the doctors say it's better than not having any at all, means my hormones are doing what their suppose to. I took your advice danutouch, I caught cold from silentwolf, and today I couldn't have any solids, i just couldn't keep them down, so i relyed on saltine crackers and gingerale and water. still going to get some ice chips :)
we've moved our iguana down stairs, he no longer has his own room, I don't think he;ll mind :) were going to sterilize the room and make it into a nursery. :) Time is going by slowly right now, but i think once spring is here, things will go by a lot faster. :) Plus i won't have to worry about watching for ice, and falling. Luckily i've had my silentwolf to help me. :)
I'll keep you all posted on my progress throughout my 9 months, maybe even post my ultrasound :) Take care
Blessed be!
p,s- I'm due September 17th
I concieved on christmas eve,(same time as the yuletide ritual, when i had prayed for a baby ) I consider this baby a gift from the gods and goddess's :)

once again congrats dreamspell, i'm soo happy for you. feel free to pm or talk to me on aim so we can talk baby stuff!
well most of y'all already know i'm pregnant because i talk about it a lot but i just got an ultra sound today and found out i'm having a girl! i really thought i was having a boy more recently for various reasons but when i first found out i was pregnant i thought it was a girl so as it turns out i was right the first time. shadowulfe is very excited and has been very supportive. now to think of names, we decided on a boys name and talked about girls names but haven't agreed on any yet. i still get morning sickness from time to time but it's a little better i could hardly keep anything down for a while there. i'm not as tired though. i'm 20 weeks along so i'm half way done! it's gone by very quickly for me so far. baby's due july 3rd.

Thanks angelwulfe, and congrats to u as well. :) Silentwolf is hoping for a boy, but I just want ti have a healthy baby. Silentwolf right now,i think, is still in alittle denial. I mean he's happy, excited, and nervous. He told me this morning that maybe my period was just really really late, (yeah right! ) it's been 3 months, and 3 postive tests, but i think when we hear the heartbeat and see the unltrasound he will feel better. He has been having some nightmares recently . I don't know if their good or bad.
He dreamt that he and I were dancing to a certain song, riannon by stevie nicks, he said we were dancing with mirrors and he took his mirror and set it on my tummy, and the baby cried.
I don't know if any of you can interpret that, but i just thought it was odd. I had a similar dream that we were dancing the same night, i was wearing a white silk dress and a black cape.
maybe it's just a dream, but most of the time dreams are ways of letting us know what is about to happen.
when he said the baby cried, I thought maybe it was a sign to let us know it will be healthy, and to let us know it's there (since silentwolf is somewhat in denial ) what do you think?
Angelwulfe
February 15th, 2002, 05:19 PM
shadowulfe was a little in denial when we first took the test and it was positive but after hearing the heartbeat a month ago we both knew with out a doubt their was a baby in there. she kicked him in the ear the other day so not only has he seen and heard baby but he's already felt her. i first felt movement around sixteen weeks. he had nightmares in the beggining too, one was that i died in childbirth.

February 17th, 2002, 07:53 PM
Angelwulfe, congrats on the little girl! :) My birthdays july 2nd!!! :) Yea, i think once silentwolf hears the babys heartbeat he'll feel better, and it'll finially sink in :)
I have a slight cold, and have been taking cough syrup, that the doctors told me i could take, robbitusin dm and tylenol. Even they said it's safe, and it won't hurt the baby, I worry that maybe it might. I've been resting and taking medicine, hoping it would go away, it's starting to,but it seems like part of it is hanging on. I'm getting plenty of fluids. Hopefully this is the only cold i get, and next time when silentwolf starts to get sick, he's taking m,edicine and going to the doctors! lol I hate being sick, plus lately my morning sickness has been worse.
I'm 10 weeks right now,i cant wait till next month, when we will get to hear the heartbeat :) 3 more weeks!

I've always heard that bizzarre and terrifying dreams are a common part of pregnancy. I wouldn't worry too much. Basically, being pregnant is a HUGE adjustment for your body, and your psyche to make. You are going through so many hormonal changes, and physical changes...plus..the whole idea of this enormous responsibility....it is completely normal and understandable for your subconcious to be working overtime trying to process all of this experience. And that IS what dreams are...the function of the subconcious mind. I believe that dreams are the subconcious minds way of working through issues while you are sleeping, categorizing them, and trying to file them away in their correct spots. All this happens while we sleep. So..that's what your dreams are. Just aknowledge that the huge adjustment that you and your husband are going through, are going to bring with it a lot of new, and sometimes frightening feelings, and thoughts. EVERY new parent goes through that. You'll get through it just fine :) Good luck, and I hope your cold passes soon.

Those weird dreams are normal. My husband had them too throughout my pregnacy. I didn't start having them until close to the end of the pregnacy. I think it's all the worries you might have are starting to manifest itself.

Thanks, yea, he hasn't had any lately. I bought him a book so he could read up. He helpes me a lot, did our laundry this weekend, and did the dishes!!! :) I haven't had too many dreams, i've always had weird dreams though, even before i was pregnant. I've had quite a few dayja vue dreams too ,dreams that actually happen (weird) has anyone else done that?
I'm feeling much better now,my cold has broken up. we went out to shop yesterday and got some exercise walking to the local stores, theres one store, called the mustard seed, where we get all our herbs ,jewelry ,etc. Silentwolf bought me a protection bracelet :) I'll be 12 weeks this wednesday :) I'm glad my ist trimester will be over.

Hey all, just an update on me and the baby. I'm now 14 weeks, we heard the heartbeat last week, it was very strong 165 bpm. :) my mom already thinks it's a girl, because of the fast heartbeat, but the doc said thats not always reliable. I'm starting to show now,and have finially gotten over my morning sickness. :)
I got a hold of a iguana specialist as well, and she said he won't be harmful to me or the baby,as long as we still preactice proper hygeine and if i don't clean his cage.
:) blessed be

Hey Mol...this is the best way you could think of to recruit new members....cast a spell to impregnate all female members?!?!?! Very clever!!!

Hey everyone! I'm so happy for all you new mommies and expecting mommies out there! I am currently 6 months pregnant, due the end of April. I have a 1 1/2 year old who will be 2 April 21st.
I've been reading through the thread and burst into tears when I seen the ultrasound pic! (Silly pregnant woman!! Crying over everything!) Then I saw the baby and started really crying LOL
I've had the most horrible time around medically with this pregnancy. I've moved down here and been working my way through the system and have been given a rough time. I'm still waiting on my medical card because I don't have/can't afford insurance! I'm almost in a panic because they told me after 28 weeks a doctor won't see me! I'm 26 weeks! So I'm very happy that this pregnancy is almost at an end and has been going so well, but I'm panicked because I can't get into see a doctor (have an appointment to see a NURSE on 1/27, my birthday). I just pray to the goddess that the baby will be safe, and if I am not able to see a doctor at all this pregnancy (curse the SYSTEM) that all will go well with delivery and that I will not have preclampsea this time around.

I really never imagined that I'd be posting here, but..... I'm pregnant :)
I'm feeling a little shy about it....even a little embarrased for some reason, is that normal? I'm also a little scared...this was unexpected and definitely unplanned. I was terrified that my husband would be horrified (he's told me time and again that he doesn't want kids for a long time yet), but he thinks it's pretty cool :). He said that the more he thinks about it, the cooler it seems, and that he'd be an awesome dad.
I'm also really happy, despite begin scared. It just doesn't seem real... it's really hard to believe....but I talked to a friend of mine yesterday who's 28 weeks pregnant, and we were comparing notes, and I didn't realize just how many symptoms I had without even being aware of them.
Anyway....no body knows yet...I haven't even seen a doctor yet (doing that on wednesday), but I just had to tell someone, and I just knew that this was the perfect place to do it.

Why do they say that about guys, the whole "getting fixed" thing? I mean, it's because they're working properly that they're getting fixed. So, shouldn't we say they're getting broken, instead? **shakes head** The funny things we do with the English language.

Tora B Wolf ( I’m not actually sure if she is a member of this board, but that is the name she usually posts under ) is now pregnant with our 1st. We have been together for six years and have just recently decided to do the family thing. Almost immediately after our decision she told me she was pregnant. Oh man, was that quick. I’m sooo happy and freaked out at the same time. Good luck and heath to all. May our children have mercy on us.

Congratulations everybody...I've been infected by your epidemic and I haven't been here in about four months. Had to reregister, as a matter of fact. My hubby and I have been trying for 4 months...turns out I'm about 2 1/2 months along (hey, the effort, however unnecessary, was great lol). It's funny though...I've been told the heartbeat isn't usually heard till later on (12 weeks, I think) and I've heard it already. I'm also already showing, but I think I know why. I've been having morning sickness badly, and am 4 lbs lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm tall and slender anyway. Nothing seems to help soothe my stomach, not even the nausea pills the doctor gave me. Just makes me tired. I'm scared...I've miscarried before, and was told I wouldn't have kids (under developed uturus). Well, that scare is out of the way, I'm not doing my baby any favors nutritionally speaking. I take my vitamins every day. Any advice? Things don't seem to be getting any easier. Already tired all the time and HATING being pregnant...I can't wait to get this over with and reap the benifits. A child is a blessing....pregnancy, a curse. I wish you all luck, and the best of health for you and your new additions. Take care.

Congrats on the baby Edana!!! For Nausea...I recommend asking for Tigan, won't make you as tired as anything else they may give you..and its very helpful...for me anyway. Vitamin B6 is helpful to take along with that too. Sometimes, the prenatal vits they give you add to the morning sickness and nausea. That was the case with me. So for vitamins, Flintstone vits are great..and ask for a prescription of Folic acid...which is for the baby's nervous system..helps to support it or something like that. The heartbeat you feel..is yours,( pulse in abdomen) and as for hearing the baby's heartbeat, that won't happen until 12 weeks I believe....but you could feel the baby kick and move around some as early as 14 weeks..I did..and I am 19 weeks along this week as a matter of fact. But the doc can see the heartbeat and you can see the baby too at 9 weeks..which helps to determine the due date! Goodluck andlet me know if any of this helped! Feel free to IM me or Email me at my yahoo email if you want to talk/complain...anything at all! Many blessings to you and yours !!!!

BlueOwl-
My doctor and midwife both heard the heartbeat, as well as the nurse and hubby. But, um, the little shifts inside may just be my imagination though. Thought I felt movement for the first time August 7th, and have since felt similar shifts inside. This causes me to question whether I am further along than they think. As I said, I'm already showing at 2 1/2 months (which is ridiculous, as I can't wear my old pants comfortably), and bought my first maternity outfit two days ago. The midwife didn't tell me how fast the heartbeat was the first time, but instead asked the resident doctor to check it out, and he got 163 (or 165...I've got it written down somewhere around here). They simply went by my last mestrual cycle...is that reliable? This is my first child, so I am not too trusting of most of the information I hear, especially from the doctor's office. I also had the first ultrasound (July 30th), and the baby measured in at...a whopping 3 cm. Is that small for this far along? My EDD, as of now, stands at February 26th (crossing my fingers for a leap year baby). What are the chances that I'm further along than I thought, and how would I find out accurately how far I am into this? The midwife also thought it unusual to hear the heartbeat so soon, but told me it happens. Thank you for the advice on the vitamins, I certainly appreciate it and will ask my doctor about Tigan and B6.

I'm new to the board, but my husband and I are expecting our first really soon. The "official" due date is February 20, but my midwife says she wouldn't be surprised if the little one put in an appearance on Friday the 13th (that'd be cool-- I was born a year too early and had to settle for a Thursday) but I'm really hoping the baby holds off and waits until after the 19th so she/he can be a Pisces. Living with one Aquarian is enough of a mental challenge for me.

She's gorgeous! My sister just had a baby last week and we thought she had a full head of hair. As for being ready--I think so, but who knows, My midwife says I'm the only pre-mom she's ever met who admits to wanting a rain delay or something. Husband is currently scurrying around making certain we have everything on lists we've been given. He's a little more nervous than I can see a reason for, but I know he'll be a good daddy and he's got plenty of practice changing diapers as he's the third of 12 siblings.

I'm about 2 mths pregnant with my first baby. So far, it's going good although I have to admit during the whole time hubby and I were planning I never thought too much about actually being pregnant ! If I'd known what it would be like I might have thought more seriously about adoption! hehe
Acutally, I was a lot happier about being pregnant before I realized I am now everyone's property. I'm a very private person and don't take well to personal conversations, being touched/hugged, etc... and since I was forced to tell people (because I was so sick) I feel like my personal space has evaporated. I'm thinking of finding a nice comfy cave to hide in for the next few months!
Well, I'll just wait for the lil' kidney bean to arrive and draw all the attention.
Congrats to everyone else, too!

Thanks! My husband is sooo happy and interested in everything that's going on, which is nice. He's reading all the books for me and telling me when stuff's going to happen. I just read the packet my doctor gave me on what to do and what not- I'm prone to stressing about every little thing and I figured the books would just encourage that!
My doctor had told me it would take a lot of effort to get pregnant and it ended up happening the first month we tried! So unfortunately my hubby will still have a year and a half of school and I'll still need to work. :( I was hoping to avoid the whole day-care thing but can't have everything right?

Yes, I get some leave from my work- they are all happy for me too, I'm glad to work at the company I do and not at some big corporation that would see my pregnancy as a liability.
I'll be able to stay home probably about a year and a half after the baby's born- that's when my hubby will graduate from school. But, in the meantime, baby won't have to be in daycare all the time- Scott can watch her (or him) when he's on break and stuff. And the daycare at his university is really good according to my sister-in-law who works at the university.
"Morning" sickness seems to be clearing up! Now I just have to buy a whole new wardrobe.
-edit- Meh. I mean, I'll be able to start staying home about a year and a half after the baby's born.

I've been feeling really out of sorts recently, tired, irratible, sore breasts, period like pain but not much else. To start with I thought my period was coming but it never showed up. This morning I'd convinced myself to take a HPT because I needed to know one way or the other and it came up positive!! To be honest I thought it was all in my head, it wouldn't be the first time, but I did the test because I needed to stop obsessing if I wasn't pregnant and find out where my period was. But it was a BFP, I'm happy, I'm scared, I'm excitted and nervous, but I had to tell people :)

I hope one day I can have a child, at least one(I don't want no more than 2 anyway). Maybe it'll come when I get more comfortable expressing even tinier portions of my sexuality. I'm straight!

Well..I wonder. I took 2 tests today. The first was one I picked up from the Dollar Tree of all places. Within 1 minute, it showed a positive. So, I went to see hubby at work and showed him. He wasn't 100% sure on that test so he sent me to Wal-Mart for a "real" test. I picked up the digital Clear Blue Easy..no lines or anything..just words that pop up--Pregnant or Not Pregnant. Well, Pregnant popped up!!! So we're going to go tomorrow to a pregnancy center here in town that does free tests just to make sure. I'm pretty sure they do the same kind of tests I've done. In other words, no blood tests. Depending on that result, I will then make a call to my doctor. Today should have been the first day of my period, but I've shown no normal symptoms. If I've calculated everything right, I will be due August 7, 2006!! Here's to hoping!!!

Hi Lamyra (and others)..
Looks like we will be going through this at the same time.. looks like I'm due in the end of July.
This is #2 for me and not expected. I'm a little stressed out. #1 is almost 20 monthes old and still breastfeeding. Trying simultaneusly to find a job and make some success with my business. Luckily I am not the type to have nausea, but my allergies start acting up when I'm pregnant.

Congrats and Blessings to you Vickinggoddess,
Hope that all works out for you in finding a job. We are having that problem around here too, there isn't a whole lot of work available here at this time of year. I myself am only working VERY part-time self employed because I decided to go to college after being out of school for 8 years. My pregnancy wasn't planned, but yet wasn't prevented either because we wanted our blessing to come when the goddess felt right for us. Looking forward to keeping in touch with everyone during our wonderful journey together.

Well Congrats Scared of Self,
August 23rd is a great day to be born.( It's my birthday LOL) Anyway its a time of two great signs and the horoscopes are quite interesting. You can be a Virgo or Leo depending on what magazine or paper you read :hehehehe: As far as the morning sickness I hear ya. It's been a little rougher this time around for me as well. I find that sipping a little ginger ale and eating a few cheerios in the morning before I get up help a lot. I also eat smaller more frequent meals, take my vitamins in the middle of my meal and drink juice after I eat not before. Your ticker goes in your signature area under your user CP link. If you still have problems getting it to work feel free to PM me. Good luck and happy holidays. What a wonderful Blessing you have received.
Best of Blessings,

Well I miscarried yesterday. I learned that can be dangerous. I went into shock from the bloodloss.. no dinner the night before and bled all night. Luckily my husband was home in the morning when I passed out. He shook me and got me out of it. And I had some milk and was ok after a while. Would have been good to have ginseng on hand for that.
Good luck to everyone with your pregnancy and delivery.

Congrats kardell! I too am expecting my first baby. I was told I would probably never conceive. I believe the actual statistic was about a 10% chance. We never really 'tried', but we didn't prevent either. After six years, here we are. My due date is Dec. 5th. Today I went to the doctor and we heard the baby's heartbeat. Absolutely amazing! I agree with the advice above, nap lots! I could barely stay awake at times, although now it is getting better.

Merry Meet Ladies,
It's been a little while since I have been on and I'm glad to see some good changes congradulations Dreamspell,Gebo and Kardell!:hugz: I am very excited to say that we are pregnant again. I decided to wait a little longer to announce it this time after my recent miscairage. We have had a few appointments and everything looks good so far.:clapping: We are very excited and my son is too. The only thing is to get him to understand that Mom's pregnant not broken and can do things for herself, but he thinks that if mom has "Less stress" this baby well make it to come home. However we know just how "little stress" a 5yr old helper cauaes when trying to help out.:bug:and I just want to go soak away the stress in a cleansing :tub: and crawl in bed to get :zzzzZZZ:but yeah right. :lol:So when he is buggin me I just tacklehim and :hugz: until he gives in. Daddy on the other hand is so excited that he reads eating for two and cooks for eight even when I haven't kept anything down for DAYS and says just try it hun then she is getting something.(yes we would like a lil girl"
So My point is yes, were extreamly happy trying to complete the family again and ask for everones blessings that this blessing not be taken from us. Our Due Date is March 8th, 2007 and that looks to be a good day on my calander!!
Best of Blessings Ladies I will keep in touch. My Next visit is on august 22 the day before my birthday. Maybe we will here the heart beat this time it was hard last time she tried, that would be a wonderful earily present.

I'm still really sick and ended up in the ER last week for dehydration. I hope this lets up soon, Im extreamly exhausted and it's really getting in the way of work and school. Not that deciding to go to college after being out for 8 yrs isn't hard enough. I have 3 5hr classes that start 90 minutes after I get done working an 8 hour day teaching 4 and 5 yr olds at a Daycare and add an hour drive trying to stay awake and begging to make it at least half that way without having to pull over because you're getting sick. Merry Meet ladies,
Hello, It has been quite awhile since I've been on and I can see that not only a lot has happened to me, but also to several other people. Where do I start?
In October we had an ultrasound and to my suprise, found out we are too having another little boy like so many other women here. They also found a spot in the heart on that ultrasound, which was cleared as a tenden after waiting a month to see a specialist. WHEW!!! We are now at 30.5 weeks and doing well. We were all hoping for a little girl since we already have a boy, but now we are just happy that everything is good.
Now time to catch up on a few blessings.
Jade Emerald congratulations on your pregnancy, and your baby boy!:hugz:

Now time to catch up on a few blessings.

We have choosen the name Liam for our son, however we cannot manage to find a middle name we like. Does anyone have any suggestions? Our first sons name is Bryce John and our last name starts with a "S"!!

I found out just before Christmas that I'm pregnant with baby number #2. It's another unplanned blessing, but we're very happy. If I'm correct on the conception (If I'm off it's only by one week) date then the baby will be do on Friday July 13th. My son has been begging us for a baby sister for several months now, so he is very excited.

As some of you know (and some of you might not have), Hubby and I were trying to concieve. Well, it was more of "yes we'd like another baby so if it happens it happens"... Anyway... I took 4 tests yesterday morning and ALL of them came back positive!!!! :D Now to find a midwife, as we've just moved to the area and I have no clue about any that are here lol. We are hoping for a girl this time. It's still really early, so we arn't telling a whole lot of people just yet. But I wanted to let the people know who were saying blessings and keeping us in their thoughts. :)

I didn't know where else to put this....
On Sunday evening, I was carrying our vacuum down the stairs to clean and tripped. I fell most of the way down. I called hubby from work and he came and took me to the ER. I was bleeding, and the nurse informed me that I had lost the baby.
We'll probably ttc, but not for a little bit.
Thanks for all the well wishes with the pregnancy, I guess it just wasn't to be at this time.
