My boyfriend works for a security company. They love him there-he's been there for almost 3 months now. He goes around to different sites, sometimes driving up to an hour or more away. He's considered a "floater" and he's basically on call all the time. The problem is that even with over time (which is never definate that he will get it or get a certain amount of it) it's just not enough. We're living with my parents right now (us and our 2 daughters) and in order to get out of here we both need to be working. He never has a set schedule and is always on call so it's impossible for me to get a job working around that. (We do NOT want a baby sitter plus with only one vehicle it's not really an option to work it out any other way).
Now his company is trying to get this account. It's right by our house and if they get it he will be the site supervisor. That means he would know when he's working. We've talked about going in and talking with his supervisor about letting me work at the same place (on a different shift). Then he'd work the 8-4, I could drop him off and when I go at 4 I'd work and he'd go home in our Jeep with our daughters. It all seems too easy and perfect to be true. All this is hanging on 1.) them getting this account and 2.) his supervisor being ok with my boyfriend being my boss.
It all seems pretty simple but I'm so scared that it won't work out just because this is something that we need more than anything right now. It would more than DOUBLE what he's making right now. I'm so scared that it won't go through though it's not impossible.
Please pray for us. We need this more than anything right now. It would get us back on our feet. It would be the equivilant of winning the lottery for us. Any positive thoughts are welcome and thank you so much if you've read this far!!!!
