Let me say at the outset that the more I thought about writing this the more I realised that the use of the word "time" is so inappropriate yet there are few alternatives for it that come to mind readily. One would be energy though and I will try and use it as much as possible below.
Lately I have been spending more energy studying how different cultures worked with quartz and one thing began to crystalize itself more and more as I progressed and that is our concept of time in today's world.
Let me start by stating the obvious and that is that "time" is a human concept and has no grounding at all within the universe. Quantum mechanics has shown that the concept of time does not exist and that it is only a limitation that the human species has placed apon itself. All "time" as we know it exists in the here and now.
Humanity however seems to put more and more importance on the concept of time as we evolve. This to me is not a good thing and in the end only limits what we are capable of and creates excuses for us to not follow through with a lot of our endevours. We are so conditioned as a species to believe that time exists and that it has a big impact on our life that it, at times, alters our reality. The classic picture of Einstein comes to mind. A grey haired wise man. Few know that he actually came up with his greatest theory at a very early age and spent the rest of his life only building on (and in some cases even questioning) this theory. Wisdom can come at any stage in one's life but it is a common belief in todays society that in most cases it comes with age (time). Although the totality of life's experiences do at times make one wiser they can just as easily create ignorance and intolerance. Wisdom can come at any stage in one's life and can just as easily be clouded over in some cases.
What does all this have to do with stones? Well... as I learn more and more and as I meet more and more people it becomes obvious that some people within our community still follow the mainstream's concept of time. More and more our society is looking for instantanious gratification, shortcuts, the easy way out and so on using the excuse they just dont have the "time". They look for information from others thinking it is easier than discovering things on thier own and then proclaim to know it all. Now dont get me wrong...we all need help and guidance as we progress down our paths... the gods know I have needed more than most... but true wisdom is only gained from looking within and seldom found in the words of others. You can see and feel another's wisdom in thier words and actions but you will not find your's there.
When working in sacred ways we must not fall into this trap of "time". The energies we seek will come to us when we are ready, when we have invested sufficient energy into the process to allow us access. Instantanious gratification is only superficial in most cases yet it is more and more what is sought by today's mainstream. We all have the ability to walk a sacred path. This path is unique to each individual and the wonders we will find will never cease to amaze us. Follow your path faithfully with your eyes wide open. Let it resonate to your core and do not limit yourself nor your knowledge to the constraints of time. If you do this and hold true to your path the universe will share with you its deepest secrets by allowing them to well up from within yourself. This wisdom and the truths that accompany it can not and will not be found anywhere else.
Anyone else have thoughts on "time"?
