When I was about 5, I saw a quasi-famous (for my area) ghost. It's called the day ghost, both because it appears in full daylight and because the sightings are on Day road (which I live off of). It was basically a big ball of fire out my bedroom window, with holes for the eyes and mouth. Very strange, but it didn't frighten me as much as it might other young children.

including my ever faithful ghostly companion "george". he lives with us and has since i was a child. (know it sounds crazy). he was the husband of a good family friend who died while i was a baby. he does some strange things and the kids used to be afraid of him but they arent anymore.

As a young child, picked up the ghost of a young girl. She is still with me today. Why she desided to stay with me I have no idea. Also, my Grandfather's ghost stop buy to say good buy after he'd passed on. I did not even know he was dead at the time. My Grandfather lived alone. My Dad did the food shopping for him on the weekends. On, a weekday night, I saw his ghost, that friday my Anut went to pay him a visit and found that he had passed away earilier that week.

I don't know why we wonder if we're crazy because we saw a ghost or might have anymore..
to me, having spirits around is normal. If they weren't around I'd be uncomfortable.

We have a ghost. We call him The Man Who Isn't There. He was here when we moved in 23 yrs. ago and he is still here today. We always acknowledge him when we see him. We're comfortable with him and I don't guess we bother him to much...................

I saw ghosts a lot more as a child. Fairies too. But, then I grew up, and I was told I was making them up, at the time I fell for that. I believe what my parents told me and forgot about them. But, as I reach, college, and I was open to new ideas two spirts came back to me to help me find my way. I hear that children are better able to pick up on things that adults don't. Mostly because they have not been told not to believe in them. Sometimes when I study pagan books it is hard to tell my mind to open up to things like this.

When you grow up you're taught that its make believe. That ability in you to see magical things is turned off as you learn that seeing these things makes you "immature" or "crazy".
That's why kids see a lot of things adults don't. It's realllllly hard to turn that openness back on.

I'm glad, I can see my Spirit Guide and the little ghost that huants me, playfully. But, it is hard to work with them at time because part of my mind keeps woundering if I'm making it up. But, I keep trying. Sometimes I wish I was never told not to believe in them.

Being a senitive, I've seen & felt many over the years and have even done a little 'ghosthunting' at different places. I also have a video camera with night-vision and have been able to capture those famous orbs that everyone has heard so much about. If I'm intending to look for a spirit, I always ask for protection with white light before I go into a situation. Sometimes, I could just be at someone's house and "get that old familiar feeling!" hehehe
I love it! Unless is it something truly benevolent (which is so rare), then I'm sorry I ever got involved in the first place! LOL
The only time that I have trouble with the whole thing is when there is a spirit that is considered "trapped" because they don't know that they've gone and are filled with such sadness.
I live with several spirits though and the most I can tell you is that they are big practical jokers--items will be moved, lights will go on...etc. There is one that "haunts" or teases my bird too! (I think it could be the baby bird that died before we got her.) She will be playing and then suddenly stop and her head twists all around like she is following something. She's even tried to fly to "it" but because she becomes so focused on "it" she tends to fly into things.
Here's a tip: If you go into one of the MANY ghost sites on the web and take a look at the photos that they have on their, turn the brightness up on your monitor. What may have seemed like only one orb, may turn out to be several (a few more or even a hundred!). This is particularly true for the Civil War sites.
Happy Ghost Hunting all!!! :ghost:
