Consecreation, Charging of ritual tools

How does one charge a crystal? or consecreate his/her tools?
I have read various ways, but would like to get opions from my friends here first (since they are the most knowledgeable;)

There's as many ways to do it as people here probably. You should try whatever seems right and make adjustments as you like to do what feels best for you.

I do it differently depending on what the tool is, what I'm using it for, and what's available at the time as far as correspondences, moon phases, etc. Sometimes I do an elaborate ritual, sometimes I just say some words about how I want to use it.
