Hello, my name is Jessy (hence the username). I found this forum the first time from a (laugh if you wish) Harry Potter roleplaying site but didn't look around because I wasn't very interseted at the time. The second time I found this site was when I was doing research for a paper I was writing for my English II class about Wicca. While the paper didn't turn out as well as I wished, I certainly found an interesting forum to read once in a while. Now, I've finally decided to register so that I can post if I'm struck with the inclination.
Now, I'm not Wiccan, Pagan, or Neo-Pagan myself but I've developed the interest to learn much more about faiths outside mainstream religion. I live in a state in the US called North Carolina, which you may have heard of if you watch American Idol *sigh*. Anyway, the only religions around here that get proper recognition are Judaism, Islam, and Christianity (and, where I live, Hinduism). However, I have an aunt who is Wiccan, which made me interested in learning more about (Neo)Paganism. Mostly everyone in my family are Southern Baptist and tend to be rather closeminded, whether they mean to be so or not. My immediate family already knows that I no longer feel the inclination to continue practicing their particular denomination of Christianity and a few know that I'm beginning to doubt Christianity in general and am looking towards a more fulfilling religion.
I should probably stop now before I write my life story, eh? ;)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting you guys and learning more about your faiths. :)
